Rehydrate by adding 1/2 cup of cold or warm water for ever one cup of food, following the guidelines noted below. Add water, allow food to rehydrate for one minute, mix, and serve. Food can be fed dry, but always make sure your cat has ample fresh water available at mealtime.

Stella & Chewy is one of the two best quality and most palatable freeze-dried cat foods available. Every single one of my cats through the years have loved them. No fillers in this food! Whereas none of my crew of 8 cats will eat rabbit in the form of raw or canned, all will eat it freeze-dried. Of note - none of my guys will eat freeze-dried if it’s been reconstituted (water added). They will only eat it dry. In its dry form it’s their preferred food over all others. The only things to watch for are potential constipation issues arising in susceptible cats and the need to crumble the pellets to avoid choking if the food is eaten dry. I have had two boys who cannot have the food due to preexisting Stella & Chewy is one of the two best quality and most palatable freeze-dried cat foods available. I fed this to my cats and it's a hit. My male cat likes it wet and my female likes hers to be dry. At first, I thought I wasted my money because of her fickleness but her dislike was simply because she just didn't want this food to be wet. My male cat is a bit overweight so I was searching for a food that would satisfy him more and stop his begging behavior (he's addicted to dry food and is annoyingly persistent about it). Right after he eats this food, he is satisfied, more energetic, and isn't begging for more food as he does with the dry food I give him (which is a weight control food). So far it's working great. I really love to see him more energetic after he eats. The only downfall about I fed this to my cats and it's a hit. My male cat likes it wet and my female likes hers to be dry. I don’t think a company making mistakes on product

The product is ok. I feed my cats after rehydrated. However, I feel the description of this rabbit one is inappropriate. Unlike others saying USA kitchen and trusted sources, it says nothing from China. And also it says the product no need to be rehydrated, which I believe it is opposite to what is on the bag. I hope Chewy or the brand could correct any inappropriate descriptions, otherwise I will stop buying this product. I don’t think a company making mistakes on product description could make any good food for my babies.

Cats can't get enough as dry treats

I use them dry, only occasionally I will wet them in warm water as a treat for two feral cats I feed (my indoor cat is much picker and prefers dry only). I break the dry treats up and sprinkle on top of wet food as a topper, and give little chunks as treats. It's IBD friendly if rabbit is an established safe protein. My roommate's cat also flips out over them, they're overall a big hit!

Rabbit Packing Pellets

I have three cats: two raised from kittens, one a feral rescue. The feral rescue is the only one who would eat this stuff - I think she recognized the smell. The other two drank a little of the "gravy" I made with the re-hydrating water, but wouldn't touch the solids. The product comes out of the package looking like packing peanuts, with the same consistency. Sadly, they just turn to mush once re-hydrated. There is no "chew" to it. Not going to work as a staple, much less an evening treat for my kids. If you have feral rescues, give it a try!

Finally a healthy food for my picker eater

I bought this for my cat recently diagnosed with diabetes who wasn’t doing well on the vet prescribed diabetic food. While the jury is still out on how this might impact his diabetic progress....my 2nd cat who is a very picky eater and addicted to kibble, who I’ve been struggling with eating enough now that he can’t graze all day is in love with this food. Finally I have some relief knowing he’s eating enough of a healthy food!

My diva has food allergies that make her itchy, and I’ve been trying to get her on a raw diet. She turns her nose up at everything except this food. I’m hoping she gets her skin cleared up soon. She won’t eat it moist, but if I crumble the chunks, she eats the shredded dry food.

My kitten loves this. The size is pretty big so after I rehydrate the food, I pull it a part to smaller pieces, makes it easier for the kitten to eat. My Pan Pan is 3 months old and has no problem eating this. She licks up all the water that I rehydrate the food with. It makes me happy to see my baby happy.

When I first rehydrated this food, it looked so weird I thought there was no way my cat would eat it. I was very wrong; my cat knew I had something different and he was very excited, ate it all and lapped up the extra water. I still feed his other wet food, but have noticed my cat is more active and playful since adding the raw food. He has IBD, and I’m hoping the change in his behavior means he’s feeling less discomfort.

My Cats Said “I’ll Pass”

I bought this because one of my cats suffers from IBD and I cannot feed her the regular wet food my other cat eats. I presented this to both cats as a Christmas treat this evening. Both looked at me like I was crazy that I expected them to eat this after I rehydrated it. After smelling it, I can’t blame them. Even though they hated the food, I was super impressed Chewy was able to ship this to me in less than 48 hours in the middle of a shipping nightmare.
