About Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Dog Food and Treats
All the Benefits ofRaw Nutrition
Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Raw Dinner Patties offer the easiest solution for pet parents to introduce raw food to their dog's mealtime routine. If you don't have time to prepare fresh raw foods or to wait for frozen food to thaw, freeze-dried is the best answer. With Stella & Chewy's Dinner Patties, your pup will enjoy a feast of meat, organ and bones just like his wild ancestors. And to meet all of your dog's nutritional needs, they're formulated with added vitamins and minerals, probiotics and antioxidants.
The Prey Model Diet
It's only natural that your dog craves real meat—his body is designed to eat a diet that relies heavily on it. Stella & Chewy's makes it easy to feed your domesticated canine friend this prey model diet. Each recipe has 90-95% meat, nutrient-rich organs and bone, and there are no added hormones or antibiotics. You can serve it as is, or crumble and rehydrate the patties. In just a matter of minutes, you'll have a wholesome, protein-rich dinner for your hungry pooch.
Raw Feeding Helps:
Minimal Processing, Maximum Flavor
Heavy processing of ingredients can diminish the nutritional value. But with freeze-dried, the end product still retains its beneficial nutrients. Frozen raw patties go into a freeze-dryer to remove moisture without ever applying heat or letting them thaw. So they come out with all the flavor, vitamins, minerals, omegas and amino acids they went in with. Plus, you'll never have to keep it in the freezer or defrost it.
Innovative Food Safety Technology
Food safety is always a concern, especially with raw foods. Stella & Chewy's takes every precaution with their SecureByNature food safety process that's recognized by the USDA and FDA. The ingredients undergo a special, 100% natural cold-press process that creates water pressure similar to that found near the ocean's floor. No harmful bacteria can survive, and there's no heat to damage nutrients and diminish flavor. Each batch is tested by an independent lab, and the results are even posted online for you to see.
Ethically Sourced Ingredients
Stella & Chewy's sources everything that goes into your pet's food from reputable suppliers that guarantee the integrity of the ingredients. Meat, poultry and fish are responsibly sourced from all over the world. The wholesome fruit and vegetables are certified organic.
At only three calories per delicious bite, Carnivore Crunch is the ideal take-along snack. No dog will turn his nose up at these freeze-dried treats that deliver 98% raw meat, fish or poultry along with nutrient-rich organs and ground bone. They're full of 40-52% protein with cage-free turkey, chicken and duck; wild-caught salmon and cod; and grass-fed beef. Pumpkin seeds are added for even more protein and a little fiber.
About Stella & Chewy's
The story of Stella & Chewy's starts with two lucky rescue dogs named Stella and Chewy—and Chewy was a pretty sick pup. Their new pet parent, Marie Moody, started both of her new family members on a raw diet, and she watched them thrive. Eager to bring the same amazing prey model diet to other pets, Marie soon developed innovative food safety measures to create her own version of raw pet food—the Stella & Chewy's frozen and freeze-dried dinners and mixers that you know and love.
My dog has eaten the chicken variety of this for approx. 4 years. Recently since the new packaging, it reeks with a rotten smell. Dog refuses to eat it. It stinks as if it hasn’t been processed correctly. Has a terrible rotten smell. My dog will not touch it, and it’s been her absolute favorite. Disappointed. Now to find something else she will eat. Chewy, please check on what has happened to this product.
I have two dogs that are struggling with food. One is 13 and hard to keep weight on. The other has a gigantic tumor and has to take medication. These little kickstarter gems are like crack to them! I break one up on their kibble and they eat every last bite. When giving medication, I break one up in my hand, add a touch of water, put the pill on top and he swallows all of it. Easiest thing ever.
Two of our girls are extremely pick eaters, and we add a couple of these with their kibble at meal times, and it worked like a charm. Sometimes, we will use them a training treat, too
My dog seemed to love these but her stomach didn’t. Not recommended for dogs with sensitive stomachs. 2 visits to vets. Not eating, vomiting. Did blood work, ultrasound. The new food did not agree with her stomach. Now has a mild case of IBD.
Truthfully these are the best! We can't afford them for full meals for our three dogs but we use them as toppers on top of their food or mixed in. The difference in their fur, coats, nails, etc is VERY noticeable which makes them easy to continue buying. Approximately one topper per cup seems to be enough for the dogs to get the good flavor and nutrients yet make them affordable to use. We give them more sometimes which of course they love. They crumble easily, just squeeze them over the food. We've tried other similar items by different brands but they didn't achieve the same great outcomes as these without using a lot more. Some were very hard to crumble. Chewy has the same price as elsewhere and I havent found them cheaper anywhere so now I just get from Chewy! They're a bit pricey, but you know what they say..."You get what you pay for" (they're worth it).
We have three dogs veryis size and age, normally we have to sit and make sure everyone eats. Not any more. They love it and seems to make the feel better as well
A bit disappointed, it was a good deal in pricing but the nuggets are quite hard. More so than the smaller bags!
My dogs LOVE their meal mixers. It has everything they need to mix up their food routine and I even break them in half for a little extra protein treat. A taste for even the pickiest eater while being gentle on the stomach.
My pup likes it so much I will order again. It’s what I was looking for. A raw food product and freeze dried.
Just received today and my dog didn’t want to eat her normal food or treats. I introduced one of these to her and she sniffed and ate it, which had prompted her to want to eat her normal food right after that. I added a few as a topper and she is eating her food today without any issues. Great product!
