About Stella and Chewy’s
In 1997, Marie Moody adopted a dog named Stella from a local animal shelter. She soon decided that Stella needed a companion and adopted a sick pup named Chewy, who joined the family and helped forge the company’s history. On the advice of a veterinarian, Marie began feeding Chewy a raw diet to help with his health issues. He quickly recovered, and both he and Stella thrived on their new food. The experience led Marie to pursue her passion for pet nutrition and start her own business—Stella & Chewy’s.

Been feeding for 10+ years
My cats thrive on raw (freeze dried) food. My only wish is that it was non-GMO and organic. The prices are pretty outrageous though, considering its neither organic or non-GMO. Someday, I will move to feeding only New Zealand pet foods as they don't allow GMOs in their country. Till then, I can only afford Stella & Chewy's during sales. I spend $400+ a month feeding S&C. A lot of people couldn't/wouldn't afford it. Each 18oz bag lasts 3 days for 5 cats.
Changed Formula
The newer version of this food comes in a different packaging and looks different. My cat has digestive issues and could only eat the original formula. Since the update, he has not been tolerating the food well, and now I have to go through the process again to find something else that won't irritate his tummy.
A good topping for wet food
This was suggested to me to get cats to finish their food, and it worked. I broke some pieces up on top of food she was so-so about. She proceeded to eat the rest up.

My kitten LOVES this. Never leaves not one bit. Wish I could afford the bigger bags, but always have just enough to manage for the smallest. As long as my kitten is happy though, he will always have some!
Quality variation between batches?
Usually my ferrets go crazy for this, but this time when I opened a new bag (just bought < 30 days ago), the nuggets seem extremely hard, dense and dried out compared to those from previous batches. My ferrets are not interested at all :(
Clean Plate Club
I saw a video review for Stella & Chewy’s cat food and I liked that they had a raw option so I decided to try it for Carl and June Bug. They show a lot more interest in this food than previous foods and almost completely clean their plates now! Before I’ve had a lot of food waste due to them not finishing their portion at meal time. I got the S&C canned wet, the dinner morsels, and the dinner dust and they eat it up enthusiastically. I’m happy to see them enjoy their food so much!
All paws up
Tried both the Duck and Turkey flavors, it's all paws up from our 4 cats, including a supremely picky eater. Finally, good food they actually appreciate. But not sure if they changed the texture/formula or are the newer bags I got stale. The pieces are much harder, not half as soft and fresh looking as the first Turkey flavor bag we purchased.
My cat loves them!
I'm transitioning my cat to eat wet/freeze-dried foods, and she took a liking to the Stella and Chewy's brand. I still mix it this with a pate base just to keep a rotation for her. But she can def eat these as the main base.

Our cat loves most of Stella's raw dehydrated foods, she cleans her bowl twice a day. I really like the ingredients and the price may be a little high, but what isn't, isn't your pet worth it for their health?
Duck/Goose
My sweet gal who has allergies to most proteins loves the duck/goose freeze dried food. Chewys provides excellent customer service.
