All the Benefits of
Raw Nutrition
Give your stealthy carnivore all the meat she can dream of with Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Raw Dinner Morsels. For pet parents that don't have time to prepare fresh raw foods or to wait for frozen food to thaw, freeze-dried is the best answer. These bite-size nuggets give kitties a feast of meat, organ and bones just like their wildcat ancestors. And to meet all of their nutritional needs, these recipes are formulated with added vitamins and minerals, probiotics and taurine.
The Prey Model Diet
It's only natural that your cat craves real meat—her body is designed to eat a diet that relies heavily on it. Stella & Chewy's makes it easy to feed your domesticated feline friend this prey model diet. Each recipe has 98% meat, nutrient-rich organs and bone, and there are no added hormones or antibiotics. All you have to do is rehydrate and serve. In just one minute, you'll have a wholesome, protein-rich dinner for your hungry tiger. As a bonus, she gets more water in her diet to keep her hydrated to support urinary tract health.
Raw Feeding Helps:

Minimal Processing,
Maximum Flavor
Heavy processing of ingredients can diminish the nutritional value. But with freeze-dried, the end product still retains its beneficial nutrients. Frozen raw nuggets go into a freeze-dryer to remove moisture without ever applying heat or letting them thaw. So they come out with all the flavor, vitamins, minerals, omegas and amino acids they went in with. Plus, you'll never have to keep it in the freezer or defrost it.

Innovative Food
Safety Technology
Food safety is always a concern, especially with raw foods. Stella & Chewy's takes every precaution with their SecureByNature food safety process that's recognized by the USDA and FDA. The ingredients undergo a special, 100% natural cold-press process that creates water pressure similar to that found near the ocean's floor. No harmful bacteria can survive, and there's no heat to damage nutrients and diminish flavor. Each batch is tested by an independent lab, and the results are even posted online for you to see.
Ethically Sourced Ingredients
Stella & Chewy's sources everything that goes into your pet's food from reputable suppliers that guarantee the integrity of the ingredients. Meat, poultry and fish are responsibly sourced from all over the world. The wholesome fruit and vegetables are certified organic, and nothing comes from China.

About Stella & Chewy's
The story of Stella & Chewy's starts with two lucky rescue dogs named Stella and Chewy—and Chewy was a pretty sick pup. Their new pet parent, Marie Moody, started both of her new family members on a raw diet, and she watched them thrive. Eager to bring the same amazing prey model diet to other pets, Marie soon developed innovative food safety measures to create her own version of raw pet food—the Stella & Chewy's frozen and freeze-dried dinners and mixers that you know and love.

Not Sure Yet
By MamaCatSaysNo on Jan 22, 2021
I just got this product this week, and my four-year-old kitty girl has been having it for dinner for just three evenings, so I'll have to come back and write another review after she's had more time to hopefully adjust to the change. As of right now, the only way I can get her to eat it is if I mix some of her canned food in with it, which is fine for the time being, but I eventually hope to not need to do that extra step. Once the canned food is mixed in, though, she does clean her plate. I'm not saying this is a bad food, because I'm sure there are plenty of cats who will absolutely go nuts for it; mine is just picky. But we will keep trying. life saver for my old cat with IBS
By oldcatowner on Jan 17, 2021
I have an 18 year old cat that has suffered with IBS (severe diareha) for most of her life. She was on a special prescription diet and daily medication and it still persisted. She was at the point that she didnt come out of her bed to eat and we were thinking of putting her down. Instead I decided to try a raw food (I had thought about doing this many years ago and our vet talked us out of it, telling us raw food was very dangerious). At this point I figured she had nothing to lose. The change was almost immediate, its been a little over 2 months now since we switched her food to Stella & Chewy's freeze dried raw and she is a totally different cat. Used to be amazing, now not so much
By ChelsiF on Jan 5, 2021
This used to be amazing. Nice, small pieces (not cat kibble small, but about as big as an average piece of large dog kibble), and soft enough it easily crumbled. My cats loved it. Fast forward to this latest shipment (2 bags, both the same), and the pieces are much, much harder, and it takes a decent amount of pressure to even squish them when dry. It almost seems like this batch was processed on different equipment, or maybe with cat ingredients to dog Stella & Chewy specs? The pieces are double the size too. Very odd. But I can’t recommend this anymore. My one cat won’t even touch it, dry or wet and he was the biggest fan before. The other two cats will eat it, however we have been having some This used to be amazing. 2 out of my 3 cats love
By Nickey on Jan 11, 2021
My cats are finicky with raw based foods. While I do not believe this brand to be top quality it is finally a brand that my two female cats won't refuse straight out of the bag and my male won't entirely refuse when I add it to their canned food and all three will eat when mixed with canned. I generally crumble it up and mix it with canned food for them. It makes me feel better to know that they are at least getting some raw in their diet. Until they decide that they are okay with other brands and even then I will continue with this brand for my cats to sneak into their diet some raw food nutrition.

Freeze-dried Duck also a bust
By kjminniti on Jan 11, 2021
With this flavor, not even my feral rescue would eat it. Apparently this one doesn't even smell appealing to her. Again, they come out looking like packing peanuts, very light in an extruded large pellet. When rehydrated, they pretty much turn to mush. I used warm water, hoping to excite the smell senses. The two older, non-feral cats drank some of the watery gravy I made, but wouldn't touch the solids. The feral rescue turned her nose up and gave me "that look."\

Freeze dried critter
By Sarah on Jan 21, 2021
Kitten LOVES these things. I am trainsitioning him to dry food like the rest of the cats - I moisten a few of these and mix with dry food for him. But they are sooo expensive! Too much for five cats. Not all of them like it anyway. One other likes them as a treat.

Rehydrate with Bone Broth
By awwLittleGuy on Dec 27, 2020
For those whos picky eaters wont eat this wonderful food, you should try rehydrating it with bone broth rather than plain water. My cat seems to enjoy it more. My favorite broth is by Only Natural Pet and its sold here on Chewy and at select Petsmart stores. Beware of bone broths meant for humans as many have ingredients not good for kitties though.

Duck Duck Goose

reliable brand across the line. Expensive, but a good alternative to a reliable properly formulated homemade raw diet. I like the freeze dried as a back up. Just make sure to soak it overnight otherwise you will be depriving your cat of the moister/fluid he/she needs. I also like it for training treats (cut each morsel into thirds.

Awesome food
By Hemingway on Jan 19, 2021
I was looking for a kibble for my cat and heard of this brand. My cat loves it. It's a perfect breakfast food in his auto feeder. The wet food makes a mess in his feeder. So happy with this product. Worth the $$ for my cat's health.

Great raw alternative
By Katy80 on Jan 15, 2021
This is a great way to provide your kitties with the raw (in dehydrated form) diet they crave without getting messy with traditional raw pet food. My cats love it!
