  • The only raw food my cats will eat

    By on

I have 3 cats and I have been trying to at least add some raw food to their usual diet of wet canned food and the Stella & Chewy Freeze-Dried Rabbit is the only raw they will touch. Two of the cats are crazy for it and will break into the bag if I don't keep it out of reach. I usually mix it with their canned food because it is expensive. Also on the plus side, it is easy to store and rehydrate by adding warm water to the morsels and waiting about 3 minutes.

  • My Cat LOVES This Cat Food!

    By on

I ordered this for my 10 year old cat. As soon as I received the box in the mail and began opening it, she could smell the new food and she was trying to break into the bag! She absolutely LOVES this food and is constantly begging me to eat, something that she has never done before with any other food. Instead of mixing it with water, I mix the freeze dried morsels with some of her watered down premium canned food, and she goes wild.

  • Cats LOVE it

This has always been the cat's favorite of all the options Stella and Chewy makes. Now we're in Kansas and can't find this anywhere. Thanks to Chewy we were able to order it. We have taken in a skinny, pregnant stray cat. She needs to put weight on in a hurry. I was glad to find this again. The boys were delighted to have their old favorite back and new kitty wolfs it down.

  • Recommend it, but not for mine

    By on Top 25 Contributor

I think I have tried all Stella & Chewy freeze dried at least twice, thinking my kitties will change their mind from all the good reviews I read, but mine are just so so with all flavors. They tend to eat a few more bites of the “morsels “ but never clean the plate and tend to prefer any other bowl of food I have on the floor. To my mind, I think it is the consistency of the product, which is kind of gummy when it is warmed with water. Primal freeze dried and vital essentials comes out ‘fluffier’ so to speak when it’s broken up and warmed with water, and those seem to be what my little ones prefer. 3 stars for good ingredients though!

  • Cats like it

My cats both like Stella and Chewy freeze-dried food. They aren't usually keen on rabbit but appear to enjoy this food. The ingredients are good quality and they do well on the food. One thing I like in particular is that there is no fish oil in the product as my elder female cat cannot eat any food with fish or fish oils in them.

  • Cats loved, my wallet didn't

    By on

Even my finicky eater went wild for this. Unfortunately, at $30 for a 9 oz bag and 2 cats, there is just no way I can afford it. It did work. Their diarrhea was turning into formed BM within only a couple of days. Switching to the Instinct dry rabbit food and hoping that works as well ($20 for 4.5 lbs). If you only have one cat and can afford it, this is a very good food.

  • Something my picky kitties like

    By on

I have been experimenting with various fresher options to give my kitties variety. Finally found something at least two of them love.. It's so rich I do a few morsels, hydrate with warm water. I like that I can choose how much I can make. So no more waste.

  • Cats love it!

Our two cats love this! My dad's cat (18 yr old cat with start of kidney failure) will eat this right up even when other food goes untouched. I do recommend breaking the chunks apart and letting the food absorb water for 2 - 3 minutes before serving (I mix the food a number of times in the water to be sure ever morsel gets some moisture).

  • high quality protein

I bought this for a growing kitten who seemed to be developing allergies. He likes it very much and my other cats won't eat the nibs so it's all for him! I won't be buying this much though as it is too expensive.

  • My cat loves this.

My cat loves all the Stella & Chewys freeze dried raw flavors. I boil water and pour just a bit on already crumbled food. It breaks apart easily. Just a few drops will rehydrate a warm meal for a special tummy.
