  • Not crazy about the prep

I have tried another brand of freeze dried raw food that comes in larger blocks. You simply crumble it into the bowl and add 1 T of water per block. It absorbs all the water and turns into a nice moist cat food, which both of my cats love. Today I tried Stella & Chewy's morsels. The directions state to add water and sit for 1 minute. I did that and the morsels were still hard. I ended up letting it sit over 5 minutes and it was still hard in the middle and never absorbed all of the water. There was just brown water sitting in the bowl. One cat at it (he will eat anything) but the other cat did not. Won't buy the morsels again - I much prefer crumbling the block and adding water, which I have tried another brand of freeze dried raw food that comes in larger blocks. • Helps Control My Cat's Allergies - Just Fork Mash!

    By on

I feed this to my cat who has a skin condition related to food allergies. I like that rabbit is the ONLY protein in this food. However, the texture is a little rubbery and my cat doesn't care for that. According to S&C Customer Service, it is due the meat texture of rabbit and the dehydration process. In order to get my cat to eat it, I measure the dry food in his bowl and add warm water. I let it soak for a couple of minutes and fork mash. Then I add a little more warm water and fork mash again. This makes the texture like blended canned cat food. This is a picky cat who has never been a good eater but he loves this food as long as I "fix" the texture.

  • Doggies not cats

Knowing how good rabbit is for a dog, I have tried it with the girls..two Biewer puppies...and my daughters two Bolognese. they all said, “ Thanks but no thanks”. Being cognizant that while cats need taurine which is not in dog food, dogs do well with the taurine in cat food. I tried your rabbit morsels on these four princesses. I swear they would have eaten the entire bag in one fell swoop. mama’s happy.

  • Great food.

Our one cat has FIV. He goes through periods of losing weight and being constantly hungry. Other cat foods were not satisfying his hunger. I used to feed my ferret Wysong freeze dried and she did wonderfully. This food seems equivalent. My cat is gaining weight and his hunger is satiated. He loves this food. He purrs when he eats it.

  • saved my cats life

Took over a year and a half with thousands of dollars being spent at the vet and dozens of food trials and nothing seemed to work! I stumbled upon these and wow what a difference it made in a week! This stuff works miracles and I’m happy to say it saved my cat life and he is doing wonderful now

  • Better than Primal Freeze dried nuggets

    By on

Kitty loved Stella and chewy right away and was inconsistent in eating the Primal freeze dried raw, at times leaving some meals untouched. However he reluctantly eats the rabbit flavor, I have to mix it with the turkey or chicken flavor to ensure a variety of protein sources.

  • Rabbit's a Winner

    By on

Have a cat recuperating from surgery. Difficult to find her something tasty enough. But she adored the rabbit. We reconstituted it with a touch of extra warm water. She ate a good portion, lapping the juice. Very glad to see her eating well. My other two cats were very happy to clean the leftovers from the bowl. Wonderful product!

  • Favorite Flavor

    By on Top 500 Contributor

This is my two cats favorite formula. I wish it wasn’t so expensive but I understand why as rabbit isn’t as readily available as chicken etc....I still buy on occasion so they have a rotation. Highly recommend

  • She loves it

My new cat dives into this food. I think she's eating too fast! She was stealing the dogs Stella and Chewys food so I decided to get her her very own. She seems to love it and demands more!

  • Great Treats

Even though these say for cats I do feed 3 morsels each to my dogs each night. They love them. I watch what I feed them and since these are freeze dried you can't go wrong.
