Can you feed this with canned wet food or should it only be fed with other raw cat foods?
Answer by ChewyAug 01, 2020
This food can be fed on its own, as a complete and balanced diet. However, it can be mixed with other food, such as kibble or wet food.

How many lbs does this bag equate to? Thank you
Answer by ChewyJun 12, 2020
Stella & Chewy's suggest rehydrating each 1 cup of food with ½ cup of water. When this is done, the 7.5 ounce bag rehydrates to about 2.5 pounds worth of food.

If I add this to the food my cats have been eating all their lives, wouldn't the good effects of this food be canceled out by their current food?
Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2020
Always transition any new food by slowly mixing with your current diet for the first 7-10 days, increasing the amount of Stella & Chewy's while decreasing the amount of other food. This will lessen the chances of your kitties having a reaction to a sudden change in their usual diet.

Why does this food have Bromelain in it?
Answer by ChewyMay 11, 2021
Bromelain is an enzyme that helps to promote healthy digestion, and is soothing if there’s any gut discomfort.

Godsend for senior kitty

Lately my 16yo senior cat's appetite has been flagging. He has a bunch of health issue, and we're doing everything we can with his vet to keep him pain-free, but getting him to eat enough has been very difficult. He suddenly decided he didn't like frozen raw anymore, and started snubbing all of the canned foods he had liked in the past. I was really desperate to find something he would eat, so ordered this and the Skin and Coat version out of desperation. It worked!! He likes both, though he does prefer this one. I need him to stay hydrated, so I feed it rehydrated in warm water, and he's eating with gusto for the first time in months! I was so happy watching him eat that first meal, I could have cried. I was worried that suddenly switching his diet to a lot of a new food might cause some digestive issues, but so far so good. I also crumble a piece on top of his canned food whenever he needs a bit of encouragement. Hopefully he doesn't decide in true cat fashion that he's done with this food just as I order a few more bags! If you have picky/sick kitties, I would say this is definitely worth a shot.

Cats love this

Out of our three cats, we have one who prefers canned, but the other two love all Stella products. One is a calico female approx 7 yrs old who loves raw foods. The other is a 5 month old male who eats almost anything. I soak the pellets in a Ziploc baggie in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so that they fully hydrate as the older cat is prone to UTI and needs extra fluids. She seemed to especially love this digestive version. Although expensive, I like that it is balanced and includes organs and bone. It is a change of diet 2-3x a week to replace canned food.

This has helped my cat's digestive issues!

We exclusively give our cats Stella & Chewy's wet and dry food. Our new cat has had digestive issues even after moving him over to better quality food. He ate, but not a lot at once and I could just tell he had tummy sensitivities. After giving him 3 of these pellets with his dry food every morning, he eats the whole bowl and feels much better! The change happened overnight. Now we give this to both cats and have noticed their fur is even softer and shinier.

Their Favorite Treat

We've tried many different healthy treats for our Bengals, but Stella & Chewy's freeze dried raw is their favorite - paws down!!

SOY The Boss

Regretfully, Soy is a fussy eater! From fine dining to junk $ store cat food, he is not a cheap date. From real Salmon to Sheba, the STELLA & CHEWY is still in the fridge. From cold to warm, add water no water... yadda yadda, tried it all! He purrfers Rachael Ray's INDOOR COMPLETE (kibbles). Huh? The sweet endearing cat I love, stays under a bush all morning till he snatches anything smaller than him. The indoor has a fat hanging belly on an inactive cat! Well, CHEWY...you've now got 80 characters on my FUSSBUTT Soy, and potentially a 3 star rating out of 5! He ate a few.

Our cats LOVE these nuggets!

We are on our first bag of Stella's Solutions Digestion Boost. We give our cats 3 nuggets each daily that are broken apart with a meat tenderizing mallet (I have painful arthritis and it's hard on my fingers to break apart). I add one Churu creamy treat squeezed out on top...our cats go crazy for this treat. They love them even without the Churu treat on top. Finding something new that our cats love makes us all happy.

Stella and Chewy’s

My cat is obsessed with this freeze-dried chicken. He has a sensitive gastrointestinal track. We crumble one nugget over his dried food at breakfast and dinner. We have completely deleted wet food from his diet and , consequently, his bowel movements are now formed. Thank you Stella and Chewy’s!

not my cat's favorite

I wanted to provide better nutrition for my three old street cats, so I spent the extra money to purchase Stella and Chewy's raw cat food. At first I just added a small bit to their regular food, then gradually increased the amount. They did not appreciate it. I tried crushing the dry bits over their food, and also tried rehydrating with a tiny bit of water, and nothing enticed them. I love the idea of a raw diet and the fact that this is freeze-dried is wonderful. It's just too bad they don't like it.

Finicky cat likes it

Willow has IBD and her main symptoms are vomiting and nausea. She has done great on S & C's salmon and chicken. I've been adding a few nuggets of the digestive formula and so far she's been eating it. She likes her freeze dried food rehydrated with Wellness Simply Shreds rather than water. I wish that Stella & Chewy would come out with broth toppers. It's great to see her get excited at meal time again.
