I've been buying different small bags trying to get my old dog to eat. It' been getting expensive since I ended up browning ground beef. This food is GREAT! He loves it! Gobbles it up after a week of not eating. The ground beef helped, but expensive. Obviously he wants real meat and this food is the best. Limited ingredient and mostly meat.
I’ve recently had issues getting my big dogs food that she was on, so we switched food to which she hated. So we dropped that food off at the local humane society and got this to try since chewy had some good sales on it at the time. And while we prefer the raw coated with grains, this one is also good and is being eaten. It’s also the PERFECT size for the automatic food dispenser that my dogs have since the pieces are all about the size of a pea. Will definitely be sticking with this brand for food and treats.
We have two mixed breed dogs that are about 4 years old and 50 pounds each. One dog will eat just about anything and the other dog is a very picky eater. I finally broke down and paid for an allergy test for the picky eater. We’ve been struggling to find a dry kibble food that she’ll eat since she was a pup, so I had hoped to better understand her needs. It turns out she has allergies to turkey, duck, white rice, soy, corn, wheat, peas and rosemary which rules out what feels like the majority of foods. We’ve been trying a variety of foods with little success. IF we find a food they’ll eat, the one with the allergies ends up with goopy eyes or she’ll bite and scratch herself until she loses her fur. It’s been a constant battle but we had high hopes for this food. It seemed to meet all the criteria. Although my dogs seem to gravitate towards lamb based dry kibble, we gave this one a shot based on the high quality ingredients and lack of allergens. Neither dog would even try this food. I am not exaggerating when I say they wouldn’t even eat a single kibble. I tried mixing it with a food that they had been eating to transition them to the new food and they’d pick out this kibble and put it on the floor. I really wished this would be “the one” for our girls, but our search continues. I’ll plan on donating this to a local shelter as I know it’s a great quality food. I do appreciate that Chewy offers such a variety of foods at various price points and I’m hopeful that we’ll find one that both dogs will love.
My dog likes this food and it is a much better quality kibble at a lower price.
My dog is very happy with this product. She's tiny, and was eating a food the was a little large for her, so now it's better, I think
My dog is allergic to 5 food allergies based off the testing that was done its very hard to find good yet reasonably priced food for my dog. Thankfully my husky mix enjoys this food , she does eat the chicken/duck/turkey one well. Wish they had the classic in the ocean version as well without corn, oatmeal, peas, rice and pumpkin(that's what my husky is allergic to).
I really wanted to support Chewy's on their dog food but my 3 dogs will not eat it. I think its the red meat.
Tried this dog food for my picky and sensitive stomachs pups and was disappointed with the results. It might be good for pups that are sensitive to certain foods.
My poodle has various food allergies and a sensitive stomach. We tried a few other dog foods but she still had stomach issues. Since switching to this food the stomach issues have disappeared.
I have an extremely finicky American Bulldog. From day one I have cooked chicken, beef and other meat which I added to his dry.For the past 5 years I have tried numerous grain free brands. He ate them for a while then I had to add more and more meat in order for him to eat. The stinker would go days without eating if it wasn't up to his standards. My sister mentioned Stella and Chewy's. Holy mackerel, he eats it dry !!! I'm so happy I tried this. I researched it thoroughly before purchasing. I feel very comfortable and confident feeding my dog now. Don't hesitate. You will not regret it.
