Transition Instructions

When it comes to transitioning to any food, a slow transition over 7-10 days is recommended; it is the same case when transitioning to our food too. To start, we recommend mixing the new food in with what you're currently feeding and slowly building up until the new food is the sole food that you're feeding/that your dog is enjoying. Even if your dog isn't eating their current diet, it's important to start off small with new food and introduce it slowly, as sudden changes to diet can cause digestive issues.

    Excellent for my small dogs

By kkdogmom on Aug 23, 2021

I feel like we've tried every kibble under the sun for our two small rescues. Between the two of them there are many digestive issues, missing teeth, and weight problems. Our rat-chi gained a ton of weight eating Acana, and even a reduction of portion size did not help him lose it. So we rolled up our sleeves to look for another kibble that we could trust. I had heard great things about Stella & Chewy's ingredients + manufacturing, plus our dogs already loved their food topper. First I inquired with Stella & Chewy's customer service about servings. They said the 3.5lb bag would have approx 11 cups of food and the 10lb bag would have approx 32 cups of food. We feed a total of 2 cups per day I feel like we've tried every kibble under the sun for our two small rescues. We feed a total of 2 cups per day so we went with the 21lb bag (apologies to our mail carrier) which is about 5 weeks of food. So far we are very pleased. The kibbles are small and not overly hard which is good since they are missing some teeth lol. Poop game is strong. No licking of the paws to indicate allergies. Energy levels are good. I appreciate that they don't pad their products with legumes. And our chubby little rat-chi has noticibly dropped weight and is starting to look like himself again. Will definitely continue buying this product. The largest bag is a bit of an investment but it makes the cost per meal more affordable. Plus it's actually resealable which a lot of big bags are not. 5 stars! … more

Stella & Chewy's Dry Dog food and the wet dog food

By Geri on Aug 29, 2021

Sorry to say our Cockapoo would not eat the dry or wet Stella & Chewy's. However did like the treats. We donated the balance of cans and what was in the bag of dry food to Animal Services in our County. It may be tasty to other dogs but not ours.

    By Pk06 on Aug 29, 2021

Neither one off my dog's liked this food. We have a Great Pyrenees and Anatolian shepherd mix that can be picky.I do like the ingredients but it's still a no from the Boss Dog's:)

    This is a great food!

By Alyssa on Aug 21, 2021

My picky lab LOVES this food. It’s hard to find something that she likes, isn’t allergic to, and doesn’t upset her stomach. We have tried so many foods - she loves this one and tolerates it!!

    Great Food

By DebF on Jul 10, 2021

My dog loves this product. This is the first dry dog food that she just yums up. This dry dog food is used along with a wet dog food. I had never heard of this brand of dry dog food until I discovered it on Chewy.com. I am glad that I did.
