Wanted to love it
My dogs do really well on a different pork supplement. Unfortunately after just a week of this, one dog breaks out in hives each time she eats this.
Best cure ever!!
I have used this product for several years. I have Champion Rottweilers that I show in confirmation and also have multiple working titles on them. My dogs rarely have ever shown any kind of physical issue. If they do I double the gelatin amount and they are better within a week. Multiple times I have recommended this product to friends and other people with aging or injured dogs. Each and every time I have gotten a call back that the gelatin works miracles and dogs went from not being able to get up the next day after running around for one day to another dog that could only go about 100 feet on a walk but now walks around the entire block with the other dogs. It has reduced allergies and my dogs all have thick beautiful fur coats. There is also a people version of the gelatin which I started to use because of my back disability and I’m amazed how much better I feel when I use it regularly. I mix it in the food and it dissolves with no aftertaste to either me or the dogs. Truly a miracle product!
Surprised by the results
Works extremely well. My 8 year old beagle went from frequently helping and locking up from joint pain, to prancing around like he is 5 again. It took about 2 months of steady feeding for him to get these results. I have started my other two younger dogs on it as well.
A staple in our home
I have been giving this supplement for years. Best kept secret in dog products! My dogs have beautiful coat and have stayed arthritis free well into old age. I have recommended it to so many people and seen stiff dogs become energetic again, and dogs with dry, thin coats become shiny and supple. I recommend you float your kibble then sprinkle it on to reduce waste and make sure your dog gets it all. Also works great with raw food.
Didn't Work
I really wanted to like this product because it has been difficult to find a non-chicken or beef version of collagen for my dog with food allergies. The bottle says to sprinkle it on their food but when I did it hardened on the top of both my dogs' mouth. I had to peel it off. The next night I thought I would try mixing it in broth to see if that would help and it didn't. I had to return this item.

I was super excited to find a non chicken/beef collagen product with nothing else added and this one is great! It gels like Collagen is supposed to so you have to have common sense and put it in liquid..

This product Step Above Proteins is amazing. with my Olde English Bulldog I’ve been using it 7 years now to keep my dog healthy and longevity to sustain a long healthy vibrant life with me and my family. step above proteins has given me the comfort in knowing I am doing my part of giving a quality product to my dog, with only high quality ingredient and amino acids. Since taking step above proteins I have noticed and increase in so many things... his coat, his energy, his movements, and my dog feels strong and happy and I will continue this regime as long as he is with me.
Skin Allergies gone!
Nugget has had terrible allergies for years. The first thing we tried was Benadryl. That seemed to work for a while but the itching eventually came back. Then we tried different shampoos - nothing. We read that spraying a 50:50 mixture of apple cider and water on the irritated areas would help so we tried that - again, nothing. We tried two different specialty dog foods and even started getting injections from our Vet. Nothing seemed to help. Our neighbor also has a doodle and she used to have the same problem. I asked her what she did to help Dash and she said she started giving her Step Above Proteins twice a day and the skin irritation simply went away. I was skeptical but I tried it anyway. In six weeks Nugget was cured! He hasn't had skin allergies for two years. His coat looks like it did when he was a puppy and he looks comfortable again. I can't recommend this product enough.

Renewed energy in our 12 year old dog
Our 12 year old yorkie started slowing down last year with a locating patella. He stopped running and jumping. We started collagen from Step Above and after about 6 weeks we saw massive improvement.
