My golden retriever loves these. But we have to be cautious not to give him too many. Last night, after managing to sneak more than his share from both his owners, he gassed us out of our bedroom. At one point, we thought we had a skunk in the actual bedroom. Who ever woke up from their dog’s fart? It was so bad, even the dog left the room. Took about thirty minutes to air out the room with the windows open. No joke! Great treats but beware!
When I opened the tub, I was first and foremost shocked at how stinky they were! I don’t know if we got a bad batch but my Golden (who will eat ANYTHING) won’t touch them. He wouldn’t even pick it up in his mouth… just turned his nose up and looked offended. Very unlike him, since he will eat anything that hits the floor (food or not). I don’t blame him…They smell awful!! They’re going in the trash. Hoping it was just this bucket.
I purchased these for dog training treats specifically. That are only used for that purpose only. The dogs really like them and they can be easily broken into smaller pieces so there isn't a treat overload during during training.
I should have gotten the smaller size! This is a large container of big meaty chunks. Fortunately, they are easy to chop up into small pieces for my little puppy who comes running to get one.
My 2 yro Rottie LOVES these treats!! He is on his best behavior on our walks when he knows I’m carrying them! They’re also gentle on his stomach, no digestive issues so far after 3 weeks of giving it to him.
I got a bit bin of these. I am very sorry that I did. I think when I got them before they were very soft and I did not worry about the dog swallowing them. These are large and hard and they do not even soften in water.
My 17 month old Lab mix would not touch it. She smelled it, moved it but wouldn’t eat it. Tried hydrating it, still no go. Tried with peanut butter, still wouldn’t eat it. Tried this for a week. You win some and others you don’t. It does have a freezer burn smell to it.
We have been using these liver treats for years. Our dogs love them! The quality is consistent, although piece sizes vary considerably. Our dogs would tell you that these treats are a vital part of their day.
Our bloodhounds absolutely love these treats. I agree some buckets have small pieces and dust in them. I will not let one piece go to waste so we will use the smaller pieces or dust and sprinkle on top of their food for an added treat. They love it. Also one of our hounds is on a daily pill and will pick it out of his food and always trying to find a way to disguise it. So I drill a hole in one of the larger cubes and hide the pill in there. Crazy but it works. Highly Recommend. so many ways to use.
We love these liver treats. They work great for training, can be broken up into smaller pieces, and don't get your pockets sticky. Plus it's 100% real beef liver. Dogs love!
