    disappointed

By BonBon on May 7, 2021

We have two of these feeders one in front and one in back to which we've hung in very safe surroundings with a variety of different suets, yet not one of them has been touched. We have many small birds who really should be interested but much to our disappointment, just will not venture into.

    Red Squirrels CAN enter

By Morgan on Apr 22, 2021

I looked out the other day and saw a creature wrapped halfway around the inside, drunk on mealworm suet. It was a red squirrel! I laughed so hard, and I left it alone. If it could get in, I reckoned, more power to it. So, it's not entirely squirrel proof. It is nicely made, however, and woodpeckers liked it.

    Squirrel Proof bird feeder

By Bevy on Apr 28, 2021

This feeder is exactly as advertised. Very well made, easy to fill and, the best part, I watched as one squirrel after another was foiled by the design of the feeder! It took about an hour for the birds to acclimate, but once they did, they kept coming back!

    Birds not included

By ROKDAWG on Apr 3, 2021

This feeder has been up for 3 weeks filled with the suet cakes from the same vendor. We have yet to witness one bird feeding there, the suet remains untouched. It appears to be squirrel-proof AND bird-proof too! What's the deal? There are Plenty of small birds around (one's specified by feeder) they don't want to "enter" the feeder.

    well made suet feeder

By Graylady on Mar 10, 2021

This feeder is sturdy and the design is very good. I have seen Downy, Hairy and even the larger Red Bellied woodpeckers feed from it. While it does not completely keep all of the larger birds away it does discourage them and while the may get a few bites, the do not stay long. I like that I can put different suet blocks side by side so I can get a true feel for which flavor or brand they prefer. The squirrels have not been able to get to the suet yet.

Great for small birds...not so much for woodpeckers

By LadyKay on Feb 18, 2021

I bought this because squirrels and raccoons kept destroying or stealing my suet feeders. This feeder solved that problem - although raccoons are still able to stick their paws through the holes and clean the feeder out at night. Problem is that the only woodpecker that I’ve seen in it is the downy woodpecker. Red bellied woodpeckers ignore it...probably because of the mesh size. It’s great for small birds, though. I’ve seen wrens and chickadees on it. But will have to come up with some other solution for larger birds.

    Perfect suet feeder

By Hank on Apr 24, 2021

This feeder, at a great price, is perfect for feeding the small birds in our backyard and very frustrating for the larger brds. So frustrating we had a bluejay swearing at it yesterday.

    Bye Bye Squirrels

    By ExcellentCatTV2 on Apr 8, 2021

Squirrels get super they cannot access the suet. However, my larger woodpeckers, Cardinals, and Blue Jay's cannot get inside the small openings to eat. Otherwise, I still get tons of smaller birds!

    it’s too small

By magpie on Mar 1, 2021

It’s a solidly-made feeder, quite sturdy, but it is too small in circumference to deter the Starlings & big Nuisance birds. They are well able to cling to the outside of the cage and poke their heads and beaks in far enough to eat the suet out of the suet cages in the middle. This needs to be a couple of inches larger in order to work.
