    Best cooling vest

By Bobo on Aug 11, 2020

This is the second season my small golden doodle has been prancing around with this dry cooling vest during hot, humid days. He feels comfortable, doesn’t pant excessively and gladly puts his head through the hole to put it on. Easy to use and stays cool for at least 3 days. Have tried other makes before but this one tops them all. Definitely worth the price.

Worked great but broke after 2 weeks

By Springer on May 31, 2020

I would give this 5 stars if it didn’t break so quickly. It stayed cool in the sun and worked as advertised however sprung a leak after only two weeks of use. I can’t seem to locate where the hole is to patch it up, but water starts leaking almost immediately upon filling the vest.

    Heat Sensitive Dogs

    By Smurf2 on May 5, 2020

This vest was recommended by my vet . My dog is extremely heat sensitive. Which has gotten worse with aging. We hike , walk every day. She was really struggling and we have not even started our summer hikes yet. the first day I put this vest on was an 80% day. I was truly impressed at how effective it was!! It actually felt cool to the touch.

Works great on hot summer days

By Lily on Sep 20, 2019

I bought this for my dog to use when he is working. We had used wet cooling vests in the past but that didnt work well with humidity. This coat is easy to fill. It fits my dog perfectly and it gets cool quick and stays cool.

Works... but needs work to fit golden retrievers

By LLgolden on Jul 23, 2019

The vest is tapered downward towards the end to cup the rear ended slightly , so for longer dogs the size Large is too short and sticks up on the back. If the end were flat instead of tapered it would be fine. There is no larger size available, according to the manufacturer. The neck opening has a small stretchy v-shaped panel but it fit too tightly around the neck and copious fur of my golden retriever. It would have been better to have a Velcro closure to adjust to the dog. I filled the vest with water to wet down the inside liner as instructed. But how much water do you dump back out, all of it so just the liner remains wet? Or do you leave some in? I went with leave some in. The vest was heavy and the water tends to weigh down the sides and bottom and it was awkward weight for my dog to carry. He kept stopping and looking at me in puzzlement. The good news is that his fur under the vest remained dry and cool to the touch. However due to fit issues I won’t be using it again :-( … more

    Not very good

By GRANT on Sep 3, 2019

It is quite heavy when filled with water. We used it about 6-8 times and stopped because it did not seem to cool our dog, although a clinical study may prove we were wrong in our assessment. Another issue is that it is coming apart at the seams after so little use.

    Cool and Dry

By Kaitydid on Sep 2, 2019

Works amazing for my heat intolerant GSD while keeping her leather guide dry at the same time. It's a little heavy, but she'll build the muscle up.

    outstanding!

By Geeruss on Jun 23, 2019

With the power company planning outages in our area if there is a wildfire threatening I felt the need for a cooling vests for my Cavaliers. They are lap dogs, so I wanted a 'dry vest'. During the first 'overheating' event, the breathing became normal and they fell asleep within 15 minutes. In the past, it has taken hours to cool an over-heated dog/ Love these!

    Too heavy for large dog

By Sally on Jun 16, 2019

My dog is big, but somewhat lazy, so this vest got too heavy when filled with water. She wouldn't move.

    CoCo's Suitical's Dry Cooling Vest

By CoCo on Jul 13, 2018

I saw the Suitical advertisement in Modern Dog mag. Took a chance and purchased one for our rescue dog (52# Golden Retriever). CoCo looks very similar to the pooch pictured in the Chewy ad. Took a couple days for CoCo to get comfortable with this vest. This week is in the upper 80's to low 90's. This cooling vest is working well with the dry, hot Pacific NW heat (no AC in our home). Vest works as advertised. Don't know why there is no medium size available for purchase. A medium size would be perfect fit for our other rescue dog.
