Description

Allow your cat to heal in comfort and dignity with the Suitical Recovery Suit for Cats. A cat-preferred alternative to the dreaded cone of shame, this new approach comes with a host of perks. While traditional cones restrict normal movement and distract their sense of direction, the recovery suit solves all these problems and then some. Acting as a second skin, it allows your cat to go about his normal routine—all the while keeping the wound clean, dry and protected. All this equals less stress, a faster recovery and a happier pet. Just ask yourself, would you want to wear a cone?

Key Benefits

  • Comfortable, stress-reducing alternative to the traditional cone is recommended by vets.
  • Snug fit with rear fastening prevents the pet from wiggling out, and allows for normal litter box use.
  • Covered areas are kept clean and dry, which prevents bacteria and dirt from causing an infection.
  • Made from a non-toxic, breathable, 4-way stretch fabric that is machine washable for reuse.
  • Allows air to circulate around the wound for healing, with built-in pockets for gauze pads.

Instructions

With cats, the head must be inserted first into the shirt followed by each front leg (separately) into the openings provided. The Suit should then be pulled back as far as possible over your pet’s body. The two straps on the belly side are secured by threading them between the rear legs and then connecting the snaps to the upper section near the base of the tail. Make sure that there is enough room for tail movement.

It is comfortable, hygienic and can be washed at 30º Celsius. Therefore it can be re-used.

  • Chewy's great service worth my every penny

    By on

My cat is about 15.8 inches from collar to base of tail and 14lb (a little overweight..we're working on that) so I chose XS from the size chart but turns out it's too small. I called to return it, it usually needs to ship back but maybe it's holiday and the representative refund me and ask me to donate it to a local shelter. It's a very nice thing to do and I'm surprised, I'll definitely donate it with some cat foods from myself. For sure I'll be shopping more with Chewy for it's a great business with hearts. For the product itself, it's soft and would be a good fit if my cat isn't overweight. I'll get an S afterward. I'm giving 4 stars not 5 because of the size chart.

  • Excellent alternative to the cone of shame!

My cat recently needed surgery to have a bladder stone removed. I didn't think she would do well with a cone at all, so I was thrilled to find this online. It arrived the day before her surgery, so I was able to try it on her and she absolutely hated it. She laid on her side and refused to move until I took it off again. I was a little worried how she would do with having to wear it for at least a week after surgery. However, once she realized that the cone came off as soon as the suit went on she adjusted very nicely. She is able to use her litter box without me having to remove the suit and I don't have to worry what will happen while I'm gone because it fits securely. What a fantastic product, and well worth the price!! … more

  • Wonderful Company

In full disclosure, I can't actually speak to how good the recovery suit is, since luckily I never had to use it. I ordered it the day we picked up my cat Nemo after having surgery, because he was miserable with the cone on his head. The recovery suit (actually suits, I bought 2 different sizes just in case) arrived at my house the next day. I couldn't believe how quick it was. Luckily, Nemo just left his stitches alone, and didn't need the cone or the suit. After 2 weeks, I decided to return the recovery suits to Chewy, explaining that I never even opened the box. They said they were refunding my money, and asked me to donate the suits to a non-profit shelter. What a great company! • Much less stressful for all involved!

    By on

We tried to use the cone (of shame) but our 3 lb. kitten kept escaping. We researched this recovery suit and it received great ratings. We had to do something because she had already chewed her exterior and interior stitches out once. This suit really works! We were all much less stressed and it healed up great. It seems awkward at first and I didn't trust the back end construction to allow proper bathroom functions but it really did and there was not ever a single mess or accident. We got the XXsmall and it fit perfectly. She's 3lbs. and extra fluffy.

  • Perfect Solution!

We took our female kitty to be spayed recently. When we picked her up the same day, she was wearing a plastic cone which we were instructed to keep on her for two weeks! This was awful! She couldn't eat easily or move around the house, and our other cats were terrified of her! We immediately started searching the Internet and found this! It arrived in two days, and it was absolutely perfect! Our kitty is six pounds and the XXSmall fit perfectly. She got used to it quickly and it did not interfere with her using the litter box. I'm a little angry that our vet didn't suggest this as an alternative to the cone in the first place. I'm a little angry that our vet didn't suggest this as an alternative to the cone in the first place. Since we've only ever had male cats who are easily neutered, it's a little more complicated for females. Spaying females leaves them with a three inch incision. This area must be protected from the cat gnawing at the stitches. This suit completely protected that sensitive area, and it's easy to unsnap and apply ointment when needed. Anyway, it's a great product! We were very happy. That cone went right into the trash can! … more

  • Move over cone of shame

    By on

I purchased this suit for my tiny kitten who was going in to be spayed. I liked the fact that there were so many sizes offered. The XXXS fit perfectly. It was easy to get on her, and it stayed on her even though we had troubles keeping her calm and "relaxing" during her recovery.

  • They do not hold up size is off

    By on

Would be a great item but my Simba licked the outside and put holes in the material. Also the sizing is off. One was too small the other ran too big. Too bad the material was stronger as it defeats the purpose if the cat can get at his back.

  • Cat Kept Getting It Off

    By on

It fit perfectly, but with enough give for my kitty to move. Sadly, she kept getting out of it within a few hours every time. We don't know how she did it. She'd appear without it on and we'd find it on the floor somewhere snaps still snapped. It did appear to help her wound heal from when she did have it on and she moved easily with it on. Sadly, I appear to have a kitty Houdini so this didn't work perfectly for her. If your cat isn't as clever, this should work great.

  • Great REplacement for the Cone of Shame!

    By on

Our young female cat underwent her surgery for spaying recently and was wearing the Cone of Shame. It was so uncomfortable for her I asked my breeder about an alternative. She suggested the Suitical. I bought one and our cat immediately had a wonderful change. She was able to eat, sleep and walk- although she did look like a baby with a full diaper! The Suitical protected her incision and she had now fully recovered. One word of caution: Measure carefully! I didn't and the Suitical I bought was still too big for our baby even though we did use it. They are larger than you think but they do the job!

  • Freedom from the "cone of shame"!

    By on

My cat got seriously injured and was going to have to wear the "cone of shame" for a couple of months. This suit was a fantastic purchase. It gives him the freedom to eat, drink and use the litter box and still keeps him from his wound. I would recommend this suit to anyone and everyone. Chewy has the lowest price we've found and they deliver too!!
