Suitical Recovery Suit for Cats, Small, Black Camo
Cat/Dental & Healthcare/First Aid
Allow your cat to heal in comfort and dignity with the Suitical Recovery Suit for Cats. A cat-preferred alternative to the dreaded cone of shame, this new approach comes with a host of perks. While traditional cones restrict normal movement and distract their sense of direction, the recovery suit solves all these problems and then some. Acting as a second skin, it allows your cat to go about his normal routine—all the while keeping the wound clean, dry and protected. All this equals less stress, a faster recovery and a happier pet. Just ask yourself, would you want to wear a cone?
Comfortable, stress-reducing alternative to the traditional cone is recommended by vets.
Snug fit with rear fastening prevents the pet from wiggling out, and allows for normal litter box use.
Covered areas are kept clean and dry, which prevents bacteria and dirt from causing an infection.
Made from a non-toxic, breathable, 4-way stretch fabric that is machine washable for reuse.
Allows air to circulate around the wound for healing, with built-in pockets for gauze pads.
With cats, the head must be inserted first into the shirt followed by each front leg (separately) into the openings provided. The Suit should then be pulled back as far as possible over your pet’s body. The two straps on the belly side are secured by threading them between the rear legs and then connecting the snaps to the upper section near the base of the tail. Make sure that there is enough room for tail movement.
It is comfortable, hygienic and can be washed at 30º Celsius. Therefore it can be re-used.
I have 2 cats who are sisters and very close to each other. I had them both spaded and seeing that cone was horrible. My poor babies could not even eat nor drink, they looked so miserable. When I saw this I couldn't believe it Immediately purchased it and WOW that's all I can say. At first they smelled it was able to use the litter, eat and they both looked at me with eyes saying "Thanks Mom." I do recommend this product - and honestly it should be introduced to the Vets because I'm sure other pets will feel great with it..... Thanks Chewy...
recovery surgical suit

It was to big for my cat, once measured at 18 inches. When we received the suit it was to big and she was frozen in place and kept falling over. She didn't like the confinement. I would recommend this suit , just make sure you measure accurately and your cat has an even temperament. This is to expensive to make a mistake, since you can't return once worn .
Just in Time!

This arrived a day before I was expecting it. Right in time because my kitten had gotten out of her "cone of shame," and I couldn't find it. She also managed to chew out two of her stitches. But on my porch was a Chewy box and the suit was in It! It took her a while to get used to moving in it, but is doing fine at this point. This suit was just what was needed. Fits fine and she can do her business without obstruction. A great big THANK YOU to everyone who expedited this shipment! CHEWY IS AWESOME!
I'll be back as a customer.
It really works!

The suit is very soft, clingy but not tight, and the rear opening really does allow for litterbox use without any mess (although the instructions suggest removing it for litter box use). I recommend possibly ordering a size up as the xxx small was a bit too small for neck to tail measurement of 11 inches (6 pounds). I reordered size xx small and it was perfect.
Great for cats and small dogs

I originally bought this for a large cat (about 15 pounds). He had a wound abscess near his tail that he could reach even with a cone. He needed cream that was harmful for him to lick off (plus it wouldn't get a chance to work). He is meticulously clean so he would try to lick off anything I put on. He wasn't thrilled about wearing this, but it did the trick. After he got used to it, he did fine. It gave the cream a chance to do its work. This suit fits pretty snug, but does leave an area for them to go to the bathroom. It's also easy to wash. I put it in on the gentle cycle in a lingerie bag and hung it to dry. Hand washing would probably be best. Because of the snug fit, I was also able to I originally bought this for a large cat (about 15 pounds). There is a little pocket on the bottom side to insert a pad, but my cat's wound was on the top.
I recently had a small dog (about 13 pounds) that had to have mammary tumors removed. I didn't want to put her in a cone especially since she had to be on restricted activity in a crate. This fit her great, and she is happy she can move around and sleep comfortably.
If possible, I would recommend buying this before you need it to try it for fit and get them used to having it taken on/off and wearing it. That way you can get them used to wearing it for a few hours and working up the time. I plan to keep it on hand for any other use. Would be good for chewing and "hot spots" also.
I am buying another one so I can switch them out when I need to wash one. The only "con" is it can be a bit of a struggle to get it on because it fits tightly. The only fastener is some snaps that fit straps around the tail, so you have to slip it over their head, fit their legs through the holes, and then scootch it down over their body. I would have liked some fasteners around the front to make it easier to get it around their legs.
Highly recommend!… more

Bought two of these camo suits XXXS for my two 6 mo.kittens to wear after their surgery. Fit was spot on and they looked friggin cute wearing these suits. Kittens had no problem wearing them while using the litter boxes. So much better than those darn cones. Will donate the suits to my Vets for use on another little one.

Bought this for our black lab who is about 100lbs. He had major surgery and nothing we tried seemed to work for covering the area where he had surgery, we tried shirts, sweatshirts but he kept chewing thru them. I gave this a try and he loved it and did not try to chew thru it, it fit him perfect and was really nice looking. Maybe cuz the suit fit so well he didn't feel like chewing. First time I have ordered from Chewy but it certainly won't be the last and shipping was so fast. Thank You!!

We just had our six month old Siamese kitten spayed. She wouldn’t stop chewing on her stitches, yet she is tiny so the normal elizabethan collars wouldn’t work- she got them all off her neck. This surgical suit worked well- you measure your pet so it fits correctly. The only thing that doesn’t work well is when she has to go to the bathroom- when she is alone, she is able to work her tail to the side of the back end snaps, and then she has peed on the snap straps. This does an excellent job keeping her away from her stitches. At first she fell over and wouldn’t walk while wearing it, but after a while got used to feeling the cuffs on her legs.
Helped heal never-ending wound

My new cat had a burn or wound on her stomach that was infected when i got her. We got antibiotics but after 3 months of 2x daily topical the wound still wouldn't fully heal because she would like it several hrs a day. Tried the suitical as a collar alternative. Wound fully healed in a month with it on. I got the XXS for 8lb cat but she is a little long bodied (birman) so I cut the neck opening bigger. She was mad for a few days but oddly it made her very calm and way less stress than a month of collaring. She bit the suit up trying to get it off so it is one time use for me but it was on a whole month. Would probably still be trying to heal if not for the suit. Not a fan of camaflouge.

This was an awesome alternative to having our kitten wear a cone. We got her spade and the vet sent her home with the cone. She was running into things and could barely eat and couldn't clean herself. I ordered the suitical suit and our kitten was a lot happier. She could eat, clean parts of herself, and was running around and playing again. A good tip is to order a bigger size than you need. When the suit is too small it's too restrictive (I ordered one too small at first). Highly recommend!
