My dog has a tendency to be a drama queen and yell at us when she wants cuddles, food, water, etc. and just doesn’t stop. Even after we give her all of the above, she will continue barking. We have used this as a training tool instead of a “turn it on to make her stop” and it’s helped us so much. We say quiet, she doesn’t stop, we turn it on. It rings once, and we turn it off. The next time we say quiet, she looks at the egg and lays down. She now signals her needs quietly by pawing at what she needs. sometimes she will boop the egg with her nose to check if it’s on, she also knows that it means business. It does go off with other noises around like coughing, doors shutting, and when the egg is being moved, but in the right environment and used properly, it’s an absolute game changer. Just remember to use it as a reinforcing tool in training, not as a punishment.

does not function as intended

Sunbeam Sonic Egg Ultrasonic Bark Control Device does not function as intended. I have it sitting on a shelf next to my dogs kennel when I leave. I tested it on all the setting and even at its highest function my dog will still bark even though you can visually see the green light flickering. Very disappointed with the product.

Doesn’t work

Unfortunately this product was too good to be true for me. I have two dogs (Chihuahua and Aussie) and it hasn’t changed their barking in the slightest. I used it inside as recommended - up high.

Wonderful

I bought this to take to my daughter's while she is dog sitting for me. She does hair at home and was concerned that my dog would bark at all her customers arriving. I tried it at home and it really did work. Hope it does for her too.

Does your dog bark and bark and bark and?

I bought both the big Sonic Egg Ultrasonic Bark Control Device and the small hand-held Egg. The hand-held Sonic Egg Ultrasonic Bark Control Device and the big device maybe works BUT THE SMALLER wristlet works amazingly!! I have a yapping, a barking, and a deep guttural barking dogs. They bark, I press thd button and instantly, the barking ceases. I should get paid for this review, however an IG person I follow suggested it. My husband tried to talk me out of it. I spend more on coffee. Anyhow, I had nothing to lose. IT WORKS!!! My schnauzers no longer bark at the neighbors. I’m ready to invite people over and test drive this. My Aussie barked, and the schnauzers looked at her. She side-eyed me. “My bad, I good doggie now, sorry guys.” We need to retrain us now because it has gotten so quiet. The one even quit barking at animals on tv!! I’m so hlad I bought this. We have a quiet (non-barking) house!

Didn’t work on my dog

I had high hopes for this device since my experience with a bark collar was disappointing (I think because the probes didn’t consistently stay on his skin through all his fur). Unfortunately, this sonic device (and also the handheld version) had no effect on my dog. I guess he’s in the minority group of dogs who don’t respond. I gather it works well on most dogs, so I’ve given a 3 rating.

One bark...

Sometimes my grand-doggie goes into a barking spree. And in the house it is very loud! So I bought this to help for when we doggie-sit. She went on a bark-spree, so I turned it on. One bark was all it took for her to be quiet! When we told my son, he immediately said, "Where can I get one?" So we are ordering another for him.

Don’t waste your money. Does not phase dog at all. Please let me know how to get refund.

Works really well, one day my dogs were freaking out, could not figure out what the prolblem was, then I noticed that I had not turn the egg off I had it on low. It does work.

Don't waste your money

This egg has a major flaw. It reacts to loud noises not just barking. I live in a city and car horns, sirens, thunder, et. are all picked up as "barking". She does not connect the high pitched sound to her behavior so her barking hasn't improved.
