Description

Give your favorite crustacean a place to relax with the SunGrow Organic Coco Shrimp Cave. It provides your companion with a breeding shelter, a playground and an intimate spawning area for some privacy. This cave works well in aquariums and tanks for amano, ghost or dwarf shrimp. It can also be used in dry habitats as spiders, scorpions, lizards, geckos, hermit crabs, frogs, toads and newts all love to crawl around and hide inside the cave. SunGrow Organic Coco Shrimp Cave is a functional decoration your sidekick can find many uses for. Before placing the cave in the tank, rinse before use, even after boiling or soaking. A "post-boil soak" in fresh water with a bag of activated carbon is a recommended step, too.

FINALLY A NON-TOXIC PIECE FOR MY BETTA!!

    By on

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this addition to my aquarium! Finally no more plastic, toxin-releasing hideouts for my fish! I no longer have to worry about leaving plastic ornaments in the water too long that harm my fish. My BETA LOVES to swim in and out of it and use it as a hideout cave. Really adds a NATURAL WONDER to the landscape, and I get compliments on it every time someone comes over. SO COOL!!

    Beta decor

The coconut. Hide for the beta fish is not good for the beta fish because get there head stuck and can't get out try help them. Get out . it cause beta fish to die because there head is stuck and can't come to the top to get air I would not recommend it at all for any beta or any other fish it should be pulled because it's danergous for the beta fish or any other fish.

    Not for smaller fish!

    By on

I got this for our family's newest Betta fish. The very first night I found him with his little head in the open hole on the top. I worried that he might be stuck but he had been enjoying poking his grumpy little pout out from a bunch of different places. In the morning I was horrified to discover that he was still there. I had to cut it open with wire nippers. Hopefully he'll make it but he lost a patch of scales on his back in his struggles to get free and he's pretty wiped out from struggling and shock. To be fair, we had the same thing for our previous Betta who was older and bigger when we got him and this wasn't a problem. That guy wasn't really interested in it at all though (but I got this for our family's newest Betta fish. The very first night I found him with his little head in the open hole on the top. Not quite as pictured

    By on

My shell and opening is a little more flat than pictured. I think I would have liked this more if it was cut the other way. I bought this for my kuhli loaches. They love it, but I still can't see them!

    ok when boiled

    By on

I had to boil it in 10 minute increments for about an hour to finally get the water to stop being brown and it’s a little small but I propped it up on a seashell I had in my tank and it made a nice final touch to my make shift reef so my betta has plenty of natural hiding spots to explore.

    hermit crabs love it

    By on

my hermit crabs enjoy it. the reason i gave it four stars is because the opening is kind of short but they can dig their substrate a little to get in.

    Betta Loves This!

    By on

I honestly thought that this would end up being another decoration. But, to my surprise, my Betta actually LOVES this and I find him in there frequently! It’s his favorite spot in the aquarium. I highly recommend this for any aquarium!

    By on

Does not look like it's picture, must flatter instead of taller. Also had a large crack.

    Great hide for tarantulas

    By on

We've come up with some creative ways to offer our tarantulas a feeling of safety, but I really love these Coconut cave ornaments originally designed for Betta fish. They don't take up a lot of room and our tarantulas really seem to be quite comfortable with them. Not just for fish anymore! They are perfect and very cost efficient.
