    Love at first sight

    By on

I bought two of these one was intended for my garden and the other for my daughters two parakeets. One was broken a bit at the entrance but the birds do not mind. One of the parakeets loves it so much she wouldn't share so I was happy that I had an extra. I highly recommend this product. The birds absolutely love it and have been playing in it and on it since we put it in their cage.

    Didn’t look like picture

    By on

...and the hole is smaller than I pictured. Clearly the budgie was photo shopped in. The hole is also low. My little Lovebird has not gone near it. I think the hole is too small. It didn’t even come with a hook. I had to add a toy that already has a hook.

    Not worth it

Didn’t come with anything to hook onto the cage, a lot smaller than it seems and way overpriced for what it is, pretty much a rip off.

    Much Too Small

    By on

Advertised as 4.5" Diameter. This thing is barely 3" in diameter. Even a baby finch would be hard pressed to squeeze in there.

Not sturdy enough for hookbills like lovebirds!

    By on

On the advice of a lovebird breeder, I purchased 10 of these coconut bird houses for my lovebird pairs. To begin with there are no hooks with which to hang these shells. Secondly, the rope used to hang them is easily chewed by lovebirds, which all pairs but one have done. The nests all ended up at the bottom of the cages. The shells themselves are very nice and as pictures, but I have to figure out how to make them usable now that the rope is gone!

    Really Cute

    By on

My little finches don't know what to do with it. I had to put the old, dirty house back in until I find another option. Or, maybe I should just buy more birds. Hmmmmm.

Highly recommended for all the bird lovers.

I found this very Economical product as compared to other selections made of Wood. The coconut shells are perfect little homes as they are of great quality and thickness as you would expect them. A very sturdy product too as coconut fiber doesn’t care about about the weather whether it’s raining or snowing, it will be always as it is but if you are thinking of placing it outside then just remember to drill some holes at the bottom so that water doesn't remain in it because that will be breeding home for mosquitoes.

    Organic, Renewable, and Biodegradable

    By on

I love these coconut shell birdhouses! They’re each unique and blend into the trees. I believe in leaving only footprints and I was happy to find an environmentally responsible birdhouse. Coconut shells are a renewable resource. When I put these homes unto branches, I know I’m not bringing toxic paints and glues and if a squirrel steals one, no worries, these coconut homes will decompose without harming any wildlife. I ordered two. One shell was very hairy and I almost trimmed the hair from the entrance, but then I realized the hair is great nesting material-now I'm even happier with this product!
