Good quality but my parakeets were afraid of it

By BirdMomma on Aug 24, 2021

I was excited to receive the bird hut thinking my two parakeets would be curious enough to at least go near it. From the moment it came out of the box, they freaked out. It might be because it has this Blair Witch kind of vibe, regardless, C&P were not going anywhere near it. I tried a few times but they were clearly telling me they did not want it near their area. All of that said, it is well constructed and seems like it would last a long time. I decided to put it outside to see if any public birds wanted to make a home of it.

    Please reinforce

By BerthasGirl on Jul 27, 2021

Oh these are not structurally sound without reinforcing top to bottom with dental floss or artificial sinew, waxed cord. You can take an upholstery needle and use dental floss and start at the top and work it into the weaving all the way down and around the bottom and at least six directions and then and only then is it sound and safe for birds to build a nest in. If you do not take this precaution birds eggs or baby birds will crash to the ground in a matter of very few weeks. They’re wonderful little Ness but they have to be reinforced or that you’ll just be killing infant birds or eggs

Badly made, not private enough for nests

By margaret on Jun 21, 2021

It was clear when I got this that it would fall apart if left to its own devices outside. The bit at the top meant for hanging it came undone with a very gentle tug. So, I threaded natural twine rope through it to create an impossible-to-break hook at the top and I am confident it will not fall now. However, there are lots of gaps in the straw so that this is just not private or safe enough for birds to feel comfortable nesting in it. So, I put seeds in and now the chickadees consistently love it. They like to hang on it and pull the seeds out through the gaps in the bottom. They do not go inside, though. I have seen no other birds interested in the hut besides the chickadees, which is kind of It was clear when I got this that it would fall apart if left to its own devices outside. I purchased two of these on a whim and was very surprised at the quality for the price. You would not be disappointed with these bird huts. I would highly recommend them.

    Parakeets love it

By Joybird on Aug 12, 2021

My two parakeets love tugging at this house and going in and out of it. I wouldn’t advise placing this outdoors.

    So cheap! A steal.

By Tazz on Jul 20, 2021

Very well made and strong, can’t believe it’s as cheap as it is. Will make a cozy hideaway for some lucky bird, have yet to see it utilized.

    They love the nest

By Christian on Jun 26, 2021

My finches seem to spend more time in the nests because of the swaying of the nests. It's like little hammocks for them to lounge in.

This is not a good product

By Customer on Mar 15, 2021

I bought this for my birds and hung it in the cage and the string came out of the top of the nest and it feel to the bottom of the cage. Don't recommend this style of bird nest I don't trust it now and there is no way to reconnect the nest and have it hold up!!!!
