Seems like a very good quality hay rack, but the attachment is for vertical bar cages. Most small animal cages seem to be horizontal, my critter nation is so I had to put it sideways instead, but my chin seems to be ok with it. Wish they had a way to adjust which way you want it to attach! Hoping it will still work well anyways for her.
I saw a few complaints on here that it needs to be filled everyday. Good! Fresh food and hay should be put out everyday otherwise it will go stale. I love the spring metal holder. It is tight and holds the hay in place and goes down by itself when it is eaten. I tried the Andy hay box. What a mess. My pig wasted 80% of the expensive hay. This is perfect. I have a skinny pig so he has a fleece liner. It is hard to shake peed on hay from fleece. This feeder is no mess!!!! And zero waste!!! Saving pennies where I can!!
Rabbit enjoying the tray. Keeps his hay off the ground and cleaner. Need to adjust hay from day to day. To keep it at his reach
hay feeders are essential because it keeps the hay clean & my rabbits seem to eat more hay with one but it’s true that you do have to refill it twice a day which i really don’t mind & yes hay will fall out if they’re short pieces
Maybe it's just the particular type of hay we are using, but I have noticed about 1/4 or so of the hay in this hay rack falls out. We originally bought it to sit near her litter box, but so much is wasted when the hay falls in, we will have to move it or find another solution. It looks great, and maybe it will work for someone else, but it's not really working for us.
The image is misleading, this product is not made for a bunny. It makes it very hard for him to eat, it’s not a good design.
This item was too small for a rabbit. It would need to be filled several times a day.
This is the best thing I have found for holding my bunnies hay for them. Easy for them to eat from and no more hay mess for me. Highly recommend this if you have rabbits
This hay feeder is such an essential to my bun! It keep the area clean and it’s very sturdy-keeps the hay well tucked in … I love that it has a little screw in the bag which makes it removable and efficient for bun parents
Great buy. This makes our cages clean and my Guinea pigs love it.
