I have a black capped conure and a green cheek conure and they loved their Christmas toy. They destroyed it in 3 days. I definitely recommend this item if your birds love destroying and biting things.
unfortunately the rod was useless. It is not long enough to go through the wicker AND through the cage bars. So I don't use it. I've hung the toy near a hammock and ledge my bird has and he climbs around and plays with it just fine.
This toy looks cool, but you can't actually screw the perch to the cage, since the part you screw isn't near long enough to go through even a small barred bird cage. A lot of money for something that won't work as intended
Our Lovebird does really seem to like this toy however the metal clip meant to use for attaching it to the cage literally immediately broke out of the box. It's got lots of little bits and pieces, stuff for him to shred and I do like that it has its own perch even though it was hard to put on. Overall a good toy for smaller birds but needs better hardware.
Well...my Senegal wasn't afraid of the toy, but hasn't warmed up to it yet. Seems sturdy enough once clipped at the top and has the perch piece attached. Got one of his little feet hung up on one of the loops. Going to have to watch him around this toy.
My Budgies and Bourkes love this toy! I may have to order a few more!
This product was not quite what I was expecting - seems a whole lot more to it as pictured than in person. Perch not sturdy and a bit small for my birds.
I don't know why I thought this would last longer but the whole things was shredded in less than 2 days lol A lot of money for just two days of entertainment. And the disk got shredded so I can't even reattach anything to it. Not sure what to buy but for me this isn't it.
My lovebird Evo took to it right away. He loves the little paper bits that stick out of the ball, and I'm able to stick oat groats into the slits of the finger traps. Great for foraging. I didn't have to use the perch because he has his own little bird shelf, but also because he just perches on the ball itself or the finger traps. We're satisfied overall! I'll buy another if he breaks this one down all the way. After all, it's his most popular toy.
I recently got my second bird and he's a chewer. My older bird was scared of this toy, so if you have a bird that tends to be phobic or scared easily, this may not be the best toy. HOWEVER I got this for my chewer and he had it obliterated in less than 24 hours. He's still chewing on the back part and I was able to use some of the pieces he ripped off to make multiple toys. Definitely will be buying this again.
