    I purchased these on a recommendation for my overweight kitty as a way of monitoring his food intake. (originally free feeding 3 cats, never knew how much each ate) I also have a kitty who has skin issues and needs to be on special (EXPENSIVE) hypoallergenic food. (originally free feeding 3 cats, never knew how much each ate) I also have a kitty who has skin issues and needs to be on special (EXPENSIVE) hypoallergenic food. Was afraid that i was going to have to put all 3 on this expensive diet...I read the manual and saw the training schedule how to acclimate the kitties to the bowls. I followed to a "T" and they are using the bowls with no issues. (If your cat is not micro chipped, fear not, there is a tag provided to program instead. This option didn't work for me, as my male kitty gets out of every collar i put on him in less than 5 min) So not only can I now restrict how much my overweight cat eats, but I only have to have one kitty on the expensive stuff. That's a win win in my book. I have also purchased the color coordinated bowls and mats to individualize their bowls. It's initially an expensive investment, but in the long run is going to save me a ton! … more

    Novel feeder, poor design

    We had high hopes for this feeder, but the drawbacks of the design made it a poor value for us. One of our cats is on a special diet. We wanted to make sure he had food at all times because he is more of grazer. He is able to open the feeder with his microchip, but once the motion sensor is engaged all We had high hopes for this feeder, but the drawbacks of the design made it a poor value for us. One of our cats is on a special diet. We wanted to make sure he had food at all times because he is more of grazer. He is able to open the feeder with his microchip, but once the motion sensor is engaged all it takes is a nudge from our bully cat to knock him out of the way. Bully cat then has full access to the food. So the feeder requires constant monitoring to ensure the right cat is eating. Pretty disappointed given the high price tag. … more
