Description

Give your kitty a safe way to get inside while keeping unwanted guests out with the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door. Just like giving your cat their own house key, this flap door is smart enough to know who’s allowed in and who’s not. It works by picking up on your cat’s unique microchip or collar tag, and only opens to let your kitty in, while staying closed for all other animals. Simply program in your cat’s microchip with just one button―you can store up to 32 cats in the system―and install on any door, window or wall. It has no cumbersome cables, and features a manual 4-way lock that lets you control when your cat comes and goes, even a setting to keep him inside at night. The system is compatible with all microchips and RFID collar tags.

FAQ

My pet isn't microchipped, can it use Sure Petcare microchip products?

We recommend you use Sure Petcare products in conjunction with your pet's implanted microchip so that they don't need to wear a collar. However, Sure Petcare products can be used with a Sure Petcare RFID Collar Tag that is unique if your pet is not microchipped.

The Micorchip Pet Door, the Microchip Pet Door Connect and the Microchip Pet Feeder come with one collar tag supplied.

Collar tags are not supplied with the Microchip Cat Flap and the DualScan Microchip Cat Flap and can be purchased separately.

Where can I find the serial number of my Sure Petcare product?

The serial number of the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap and the SureFlap DualScan Microchip Cat Flap can be found on the underside of the battery compartment lid.

The serial number of the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door and Microchip Pet Door Connect can be found on the underside of the button compartment lid.

The serial number of the SureFeed products (Microchip Pet Feeder & Sealed Pet Bowl) can be found on the underside of the product.

What kind of batteries do you recommend using with Sure Petcare products?

The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap and the DualScan Microchip Cat Flap operate using 4 AA (1.5V) batteries.

The SureFlap Microchip Pet Door, SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder & SureFeed Sealed Pet Bowl operate using 4 C cell (1.5V) batteries.

We recommend the use of good quality, alkaline batteries in order to give the longest lifetime. We do not recommend the use of rechargeable batteries with Sure Petcare products.

How long will the batteries last in my SureFeed product?

The batteries on your SureFeed product should last a minimum of 6 months with normal use. This battery life is expected when using good quality, non-rechargeable, alkaline batteries.

Warranty

3-Year Limited Warranty.

    Kind of works

    By on

I was so excited to find this item. I do not like to leave a collar on my cat when I am out of town, so a cat door that works with a microchip sounded awesome. I got a microchip for my cat just to use this door. Unfortunately, the door does not pick up the sensor signal. I tried holding the door open so she could walk through, and the clip would release when she was passing through the opening, but not when her head was in the tunnel. So disappointed. I gave it three stars because it apparently works with the collar, but not what I needed so it's going back.

I only feed my cats now--not the whole neighborhood!

    By on

I have 3 cats and was feeding 7. We purchased this product to keep 4 neighborhood cats out of the house. It works great for that purpose. You set the individual chip to go with the door--so other chipped cats cannot get in. Any cat can exit the door, they do not have to have a chip. The click is loud for door entry/exit, 2 cats adjusted quickly, but 1 cat refused to use it for 3 days. The tags purchased separately seem larger than they need to be. But they work fine. I haven't used it with a microchip. My cats never had collars until I purchased them for use with the cat door. One cat removed his breakaway collar 2x within 2 days. One cat lost their breakaway collar in the woods after I have 3 cats and was feeding 7. We purchased this product to keep 4 neighborhood cats out of the house. It works great for that purpose. Life saver for my cat and me!

    By on

This cat door with its sensor has been like a life saver for my cat and myself. Other cats in my neighborhood had found my original basic cat door and quickly became a nuisance by entering my home while I was away. This also became a danger to my cat by fighting with her and also carrying illnesses into my home. But this new door with its sensor only lets her enter. I’ve had this door for over 6 months now and it works perfectly. I use one of the sensor detecting collar tags and it has always worked for my cat. She easily adapted to the use of the new door as I thought she would. Great product, great idea and exactly what we both needed, thank you!

    Worthless!

    By on

This thing is a waste of money. I purchased top of the line lithium batteries but after a few days the door quits working. If I take out the batteries and reinstall them it works but I shouldn’t have to do that! Would not recommend this cat door.

    Great to keep dogs out!

    By on

We keep our litter boxes in the basement and unfortunately can’t use a regular cat door because our chihuahua can fit thru it and was going downstairs and eating cat litter and peeing in the basement! Ew!! This door is great because now only our cats can go down to the basement! It’s so easy to install and set up. The only downfall is training because the loud clicking of the lock unlocking can scare them but cats learn fast with treats and time so no biggie! We love it! So worth the money!

Finally don’t have to worry about raccoons any more

Took the cat a couple days to figure it out but now she has the whole shed to herself and I can stop wasting money on cat food for raccoons

    Very small

    By on

Our cats are too big to fit through this tiny cat door. Our cats are about 10-12 lbs and this door is super tiny! Need to return.

It works but cats are afraid

    By on

I had no trouble installing the door or actually getting my two cats to activate the Microchip reader. The basic problem that is not yet resolved is they do not like the short tunnel of the door and are turned off by the sound of the lock being released. That is my problem to figure out but the door itself is a great concept. I just hope I can get it to work.

    Works well

    By on

I bought this door to make a feeding box for my diabetic cat. It was easy to install, easy to program, and works well so far. It took my cat about a week to learn to use it. It makes a clicking noise when she puts her head close so that might have been a little scary at first. She is a pro at it now! She is a big girl and the door is a snug fit for her but she gets through. If you have a very large cat you might consider the next size larger door.

    No more raccoons!

    By on

It took awhile to get my cat to come through the door because it is so thick. They don't have any thickness adjustments, so it was unlike my previous cat door. After I installed fresh, full strength batteries, it was able to program in my cat's chip. The neighborhood cats and raccoons can get their own food now!
