    Rabbits Hated It

    By on

I bought this hay along with another brand of hay because I needed to find a new hay brand (couldn't afford to ship OneEarUp hay to where I live anymore). My rabbits absolutely LOVED the other hay (Rabbit Hole Hay) but they hardly touched this one. I bought two bags and the hay was NOT green the way it is in the picture when you buy it. The hay was mostly brown with bits of green here and there. I'm not sure if it was a bad batch but both of the bags I bought from Sweet Meadow Farm were brown the way I described. I ended up using this as a back up in case the Rabbit Hole Hay runs out before my next order, but even then my rabbits tend to sniff it and hop away. Good quality, strong smell

    By on

I wanted to try organic hay for my holland lop bun and saw this was new at chewy. I think for organic, it's a good quality hay and price! At first I didn't mind the smell - it smells like wildflowers and honey. But after a couple weeks of it (living in an apartment), I'm starting to feel nausea from how strong it smells. If you have bunnies that live outdoors or in a separate room, I'm sure it would be fine, but I won't be buying again because of the strong scent. My bun is also not the biggest fan of it - he prefers the Standlee timothy hay because it's thick and crunchy :D

    Highly recommend

    By on

I usually buy my Timothy hay from our local feed store but decided to throw this in with my order of dog food. Glad I did! Smells so much better and looks better than the kind I get here. And my rabbit likes it a lot more.

A piggie favorite for over 20 years!

    By on

My piggies have had the good fortune to have access to this hay through the local farm co-op store. This is their most favorite staple hay, which I supplement with other varieties for a change of pace. I’ve dealt with the farm directly, in the past, too- Very Nice People! Being able to buy this hay on Chewy now, during the pandemic, is just that much more convenient for us. Thank you!

    Better than oxbow

    By on

Recently have been having trouble with oxbow, small dry pieces. Not the case with this brand! Piggies are much happier with this.
