Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
Flushing sWheat Cat Litter
Additional Instructions
100%. sWheat Scoop’s all-wheat, renewable formula is Mother Nature approved!
We do not recommend using sWheat Scoop for anything but cat litter.
sWheat Scoop must always be stored in a cool, dry place. For best results, store unused product in a closed bag or container.
sWheat Scoop is flushable. It is our recommendation that you break clumps into smaller pieces, and let them soak for 20 minutes before flushing. For landfill-friendly trash disposal, please use a paper bag. (Note: California residents should NOT flush any litter down the toilet according to CA Law.)
Because sWheat Scoop looks and feels like most traditional litters, cats tend to accept it without much fuss. Here’s our 2-step process. Fill your empty litter box with 3 inches of sWheat Scoop, and pour 1 inch of your current brand on top. Repeat this process when you change the litter, but only add a half-inch of the other brand.
sWheat Scoop is tested with simulated urine, so no animals are used while testing our products.
I bought sWheat to try it. Product claims it's better for cats, people and the planet. It produces so much dust when the cats are using it, and when I scoop. I can't believe this would be better for cats or people.
I like this litter than the clay. However, she still has some get stuck in her pads leaving not much litter all over the house.
I've used Swheat Scoop for a few years now, and while it's great, the one drawback is that if you don't scoop it quickly (a couple of hours), the clumps tend to disintegrate and it's very hard to remove everything, making litter replacement happen more often. This formula is much better at holding the clumps longer!
I purchased this because it's natural and it clumps. Well those "clumps" are like glue, sticks to litter box liner, and hard to remove. Cat tracks pieces all over the house.
My cat wouldn't touch it! I ended up having to play "find the package" every day! Once I bought different litter, she was fine!
trying this product on a friends recommendation so far odor is significantly reduced, cats seem to like it just fine, does not track as badly as former litter
The only reason I tried this litter is because my cat developed an allergy to something and I was trying to determine to what. As it turns out I love this litter! I don’t find it to be messy at all. There’s absolutely no litter odor or pee/poop odor. I’m sticking with this stuff even if it turns out not to be what the allergy was all about. I definitely recommend it!
I really like this flushable litter. It allows me to clean the cat box more often and keeps the house smelling like a cat lives here. But I only gave it four stars because the clumping attribute for liquids just does not clump hard enough.
I've used this litter for years but now it's more like sand that you find at the beach. The company says this litter is "99.5% Dust Free; No dust cloud to breathe in." That is an outright lie! I have to constantly wipe down my cats' faces after they go as they're covered in dust. I don't even let them in the bathroom when I pour litter out of the bag because of the dust cloud. I reported this to the company and was told by a representative to try adding olive oil to the litter to cut down on the dust. I've been doing this, but it still doesn't help the overriding amount of sand and dust. Most of the olive oil I use in my house is for the litter box now. This is unacceptable! I shouldn't have to add oil to litter for it not to be dusty and dangerous to my cats' little lungs. I don't know if the problem is with the company, or delivery with Chewy or FedEx but someone needs to fix this problem.
Decided to try this litter since it was on sale & I am totally unimpressed & will never buy again. Only positive in my opinion is it does control odor very well, however it is super messy & gets all over so I have to sweep multiple times a day. Also, doesn't really clump. I also discovered this attracts little brown bugs which isn't a good thing so after opening you might want to store in a sealed container. If you are looking for a good natural clumping litter - walnut litter clumps great & pine pellets are cheap.
