I have always loved the look of the waxworms (super healthy) until the last two deliveries. I think it's due to the weather warming up, but because I live so far from any store, it is crucial they arrive alive in order to feed my pet. The last two orders I only had a total of 10 healthy worms. I have to order more to make up for it.
It was not packaged properly and the container was busted and they where all over the place in the box and a few were dead which I expected because delivery took longer then it should have.
I kept buying these in stores and half the container would be goners... what a waste... I figured if give this vendor a try and they're all alive and wiggly! Super happy with this purchase!
I usually receive all my worms good n fresh this time majority of the worms already harden
They're fine, but it was a small box, which the deliverer tossed over my gate and landed just below my porch step and was not visible until I had to go outside. (I understand the drivers are overwhelmed but if they know it's a live critter maybe they will take a few seconds to put close to the door.) Didn't notice it till hours later. I would like to suggest that there are "live insects" in the box. I had crickets delivered on a different day and the box was put between my storm and front door. That order was 500 Crickets, which was more like 250. Chewy, please, inform your insect dealers about these issues. This is not a complaint against Chewy, which saves me money and a huge selection of products. Thank You, Judi B.
There weren't the actual amount number on the container. At least 25 off!
Delivery was fast, and only a couple were dead when they arrived. This is to be expected with waxworma though. I was just happy to see the majority were alive.
Most of these wax worms arrived black and dead. I also took them all out and counted only 15, there was supposed to be 50. Pretty disappointing.
These are a HIT for my Leo's, as expected.. but the actual quality is so satisfactory. Very few were dead. Even less so than when I buy from local places. Elsa (my girl leopard gecko) had not been eating very well. She seemed so uninterested in the mealworms! I got these to try and motivate her appetite and boy did it work almost immediately. This one's on autoship!
They say 50 count but I only counted 30/35 at most but Jessie loves the ones we got
