My dog, like many, is allergic to poultry-Why is chicken meal in this?

    By on

TOTW, Could/Would you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE limit chicken to your fowl or poultry recipes? My dog cannot eat chicken meal, duck meal, turkey meal or pheasant meal. If it flies, it is off limits! The most common protein allergy in ALL DOGS is chicken. Also, most foods are grain-free which I refuse to give to my dogs. Per my veterinarian, it causes cardiac issues when grains are eliminated from a dogs main source of nutrition. So I found this wonderful TOTW food with included grains, only to find out that my dog cannot eat it! My dogs are so tired of salmon, and lamb. They LOVE venison, but I am still looking for a recipe with grains and without poultry. Anyway, please only put pork, bison and venison TOTW, Could/Would you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE limit chicken to your fowl or poultry recipes? If someone wants a chicken based recipe, they may purchase your Wetlands Roasted Fowl & Ancient Grains recipe. I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. It is so frustrating. The pet food industry has taken one step in the right direction, now if we could just get them to make that turn around the block! Thank you in advance Chewy, for passing on my comment to TOTW. … more

    Finally grain inclusive!

    By on

I've been feeding taste of the wild since my puppy was 7 weeks old and she loves it! I became worried about all the problems arising from grain free diets and was looking to switch brands when this came out. So happy TOTW came out with this food, and unlike a lot of the reviews I love that it has chicken and chicken meal in it. Great variety of proteins and no peas and legumes. It doesn't smell great but other than that we are very happy with this new formula!

Finally good dog food with grains!

    By on

It is so hard for me to find good healthy dog food. I was so happy when I saw they finally made one with grains in it since grain free has so many health problems. Also I love that there’s so many different meats in this!! One meat is so boring. My pupper loves it! I don’t eat dog food so idk how good it is lol

Perfectly Prepared and a Great Taste

    By on

I thought that would get your attention. My dog really loves all the Taste of the Wild choices. Pair that with Chewy's great prices, Chewy Autoship and fast shipping and you can't go wrong. I haven't purchased dog food at a store in over 3 years.

    Great product

    By on

Like how there is finally a grain option for people like me who prefer to feed their dogs dry food with grain. It's a bit disappointing to say venison and buffalo but have chicken meal in it. My dogs still loves it so its a 5/5 for me.

STOP WITH THE CHICKEN IF THE RECIPE IS NOT POULTRY BASED!!

    By on

I was looking forward to the Ancient Grain line from TOTW because I love this line of dog food for my red nose pit Haven. WHY ADD CHICKEN TO EVERYTHING? There are so many protein sources, and I'm limited to the great foods I can feed my dog because these companies use chicken meal. Now I can only get the Ancient Grain Lamb and Salmon recipes. STOP WITH THE CHICKEN IF THE RECIPE IS NOT POULTRY BASED!! Chewy, you are still amazing!!

    Two thumbs up!

    By on

I started mixing this with the grain free high prairie I’ve been using for a long time and all three of my dogs (2 Rotties and 1 lab) absolutely love them both. I was very happy to see Taste of the Wild come out with this line!

    Chicken meal???? Seriously ???

    By on

My dogs and many others are allergic to fowl...that is why we choose bison and venison and you put chicken meal in it? If we wanted chicken meal we would have bought Taste of the wild wetlands...Poor choice to add chicken meal..
