Questions & Answers

Where is the duck and chicken sourced? Are the animals farm raised or free range or pasture raised?
Answer by ChewyFeb 18, 2020
Taste of the Wild has five manufacturing facilities, all located in the United States: two in California, one in Missouri, one in South Carolina and one in Arkansas. Taste of the Wild uses some ingredients that are not USA sourced. The lamb from New Zealand, lamb meal and venison from Australia, duck meal from France, potato protein from Germany and dried chicory root from Belgium. There are ingredients that are critical to the formulations (i.e. folic acid and taurine) that can only be sourced out of China. The manufacturer takes care to ensure their ingredients are sustainably and humanely raised. Each food features a protein that has been carefully selected. These include: pasture-raised venison, bison and beef, sustainably sourced salmon, spring-fed trout, and cage-free turkey and duck.

Thank You !

Along with Taste of The Wild I ordered and received a case of canned dog food. All but a few of the cans were badly dented top and bottom with dents large enough to put my finger in. Chewy kindly replaced the case, but the second one came in just as badly damaged. The third case was in perfect condition. Thank you, Chewy, for your generous willingness to go the extra mile to make sure I had safe food to feed my dog.

Love this Brand!

I love this brand and the the variety of choices they have. The grains, this particular formula is helping my dog with her allergies. Her skin is great and her coat feels amazing! She is not all red. Our lil chihuahua who had alopecia for years, actually grew hair back he is 13, with one of the other variety I bought.

Good optional flavor food

The usual flavor purchased for food sensitive dog is the salmon, but it was not available. The duck seemed to be good with his gut and he liked it .

not good for us

Had high hopes for this food. Unfortunately Dexter cannot handle it. It upset his stomach so bad I had to immediately stop giving it to him. Not sure what to do with the rest of the bad. Will most likely have to discard it.

Great product

I recently switched from a limited ingredient food (which I didn’t really need) to this food and my dogs love it. With the old food from Wellness, my dogs would let it sit there until they became hungry enough to eat it. With the Taste of the Wild, they gobble it up in no time. They seem to have more energy than before and seem to be less itchy. Overall great product in my opinion.

Magic Kibble

Our Dalmatian had gotten very picky when it came to her food. She hd stopped eating her old kibble unless she was REALLY hungry, or we put something in it she loved, like eggs. Not with this new food! As soon as she sees the bag now, she gets excited, and eats the whole bowl without hesitation, but still takes the time to actually chew some of it! The smaller bites are likely better for her overall digestion, too, because her poos have been more consistent since the switch.

Super food

My picky Siberian Husky took to this food right away. She was on Science Diet and I switched her to this. She loves it. The pellet size is also good as she is a older dog.

She loves it

I bought this because I noticed that my girl was getting bored with her previous food. And she loves it.
