When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

small kibble bites for the tiny furbabies
By TexasChis on Dec 27, 2020
Just arrived, I’m impressed with the ingredients as I have a Chug, a 2 lb elderly Chihuahua and a Brussels Griffon with allergies to chicken and beef. I’m a label reading furmomma who is hoping this does the trick! For those asking how big the kibble is, I added some pics! Blessings everyone!

Seems good, but my picky pups say no
By TerryFam on Dec 3, 2020
I genuinely think this is a good dog food, but my picky pups (miniature dachshund and miniature pinscher) just weren't that interested in it. They'll eat it, but it's more so just because it's there, they don't seem very interested in it like previous brands we've tried. The size of the kibble is fine and they didn't seem to have any problems with chewing it. It does have an odd, sort of spicy scent to it, but by no means is it bad or overwhelming! I'd be willing to give other TotW kibbles a try, but this one is a no from the Terry pups!

Taste of the Wild
By General on Jan 13, 2021
Great food. My dog is picky and has itching issues so we are trying different things. He loves it and is eating very good but not sure that it has helped with the itching.

TotW does it again!
By Redcjw on Nov 13, 2020
Although technically I don’t have a small breed dog, one of my miniature poodles has no teeth, the other has a sensitivity to beta carotene (sweet potato, yams, carrots). This product serves both purposes. The tiny size of the kibble is manageable for the toothless one!!! No orange vegetables in the mix gives the other one variety.

Boston hates it
By Becca on Nov 1, 2020
I purchase a small bag of this food and writhing days saw a great difference in my Boston coat and way less gas. I was using just a small amount as I was transitioning foods and when I ordered a second bag and began using only Taste of the Wild he absolutely refuses to eat! I tried even mixing it with his old brand and can’t even trick him into eating this..... so bummed

When I received this shipment, I opened up the bag and put some in my little Malipoo's dish, she loved it, ate it all. So glad I tried this.
