When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

Shiny Coat
By RBowlin on Jan 5, 2021
My dog has food sensitivities. The food we had been using for the last year changed it's recipe and he broke out in a rash. So I went on a Google search for a better dog food. This one was in the top five and in my price range. That's what brought me to this food. But, I will continue to purchase it because his rash cleared up quicker than it has in the past when we had to change foods. He loves the taste of this food and comes running when he hears it hitting his bowl, he hasn't done that in a long time. And then there's his coat. It's become really soft, smooth, and shinier than it's been in a long time as well.

Great for dogs with food allergies
By Motherof7furbabies on Jan 9, 2021
This was a simple fix. My Bensji started getting sores all over her body. Vet decided it was a food allergy so I had to look for something all the other dogs would but not cause her pain. My friend who also has an english bulldog (one of mine is a English bulldog too) told me to try this and wham bam everyone loves it and Gidgets sores are all gone. Thanks Chewy

Great Dog Food
By Cudagirl on Jan 14, 2021
I have 6 Shelties and they thrive on this dog food. Their coats are shiny and thick and look wonderful. They like this food and eat it without any extras being added. The dogs are healthy and look wonderful on this dog food. I highly recommend this dog food. I've been feeding it them for a long time and they are doing very well on it.

Oldest Living Labrador
By MarthasMom on Jan 6, 2021
After losing my first Labrador, Abbey Road, to lymphoma at 11 years of age, my wonderful vet and I decided that my new Lab puppy, Martha My Dear, must live to a ripe old age! He told me the most important think I could do is get her on a quality grain free diet. I found Taste of the Wild and have diverted in 13 years. Martha is doing great!

High Prairie call of the wild bison elk formula
By Powpow on Dec 4, 2020
This is the one that works best for us with a large raw food (that our vet gave us a 5 part recipe for) topper on the second feed. Also with health issues one was having, she specified it needed to be the high Prairie Call of the wild bison one. The dogs eyes are brighter, their coats are glossy, the one hasn’t had a UTI since (we’re doing a couple other natural things for that as well)! Less itchiness and holding her weight. Our black lab shines Indigo. I know this is going to work for them and we are very happy.

ok so far I eat it!
By 2k9s on Jan 8, 2021
Decent dry kibble. Grind it up and use a bit of "wet" canned food. Both dogs eat it with no problems (One is a poodle X female about 10 lbs. 10 yrs old; other rescue, Chihuahua male mix with teeth; no grinding up kibble. Dogs clean bowls and has few ingredients. I don't eat it.

Food change
By Ricco on Dec 27, 2020
The order process was exceptional. The shipping created a small hardship because it was delayed twice and I was forced to purchase an emergency bag of dog food. However, that isn't your fault. I still enjoy Chewy as my favorite pet shopping store.

Felix loves it
By 2ndFavoriteTreat on Dec 11, 2020
I got this because he needs to be on a different food and kibbles and bits isn't good for him at all. It kept getting suggested and when we got it I opened it up and gave him a kibble to try and he ate it so I gave him more and he loves it. I mixed it into his kibbles and bits he has so he can get used to eating it. Next time I buy it I'm getting a much bigger bag for him to have. This is gonna be his new food now.

Tasty, tasty, tasty
By Kubota on Jan 5, 2021
My name is Kubota, I am my mom's service dog. I love Taste of the Wild and I love CHEWY. It is convenient for her and tasty for me! I can't wait to get it in other flavors. Maybe I'll order something for my cat brothers too.

Tasty value
By Sage on Jan 6, 2021
We have a 14 year old mix breed that has terrible skin problems and was told by our vet to try this type of food. Not only does Sage love it but I believe it's helped her scratching. We will continue to use this food.
