    My Dog Loves It!

For reference... We have an 11 year old, 50lb, female, Aussie/Blue Tick Coonhound mix with the long coat of an Aussie and the markings of a Blue Tick. And, yes, she is the most beautiful dog ever. We switched over to a grain free and/or limited ingredient kibble for our precious pooch several years ago For reference... We have an 11 year old, 50lb, female, Aussie/Blue Tick Coonhound mix with the long coat of an Aussie and the markings of a Blue Tick. And, yes, she is the most beautiful dog ever. We switched over to a grain free and/or limited ingredient kibble for our precious pooch several years ago as she would always struggle with itchy skin, dry patches, dull fur, excessive ear wax (that would often smell and lead to infections even with consistent bathing and grooming). We found this while searching and comparing brands and decided to give it a try. Of the 5 other brands we regularly purchase and rotate thru Chewy depending on availability and price, this blend has been the best yet for our girl. We have only been feeding this blend to her for 1 week and the results have been immediately noticeable. I usually wait awhile to write a review, but this brand was particularly noteworthy. Considering the individual needs of each dog vary based on breed, size, activity level, dietary needs, allergies/sensitivities, etc... This blend has made her fur softer and shinier, her ears aren't producing as much wax or smelly, her skin isn't itchy or dry and patchy, she doesn't have gas, and her poops are just right. They don't stink, aren't hard or too soft, and they are the right color, shape, and size. She seems to have more energy. She's been a bit more vocal too. As with age, "seniors" experience joint stiffness and slow down a bit. She's been going up and down steps quicker and even jumping up a step. That's something for her, especially because she has the traits of a lazy hound rather than those of an active Aussie. It seems that her system prefers this blend because it has a majority of 4 legged land meats/proteins as the main ingredients rather than flying and swimming ones. The other blends we have tried favor chicken, turkey, salmon, ocean fish as the first and top few listed ingredients. While she does like those proteins, her system clearly prefers 4 legged land proteins. We do feed our girl fresh meats, seafood, and veggies as well. I sure hope we can continue to find this blend at a decent price. It seems to be a winner for our girl. … more

    My dog won't touch this.

By Ronniemac on Sep 7, 2020

I think I have tried almost every brand of blue Buffalo. My dog rejects every one of them. He seems to like science diet pretty well. But I am going to have to start buying locally in smaller bags so instead of wasting food I can try to find something that he likes.I am 78 years old on disability and I think I have tried almost every brand of blue Buffalo. My dog rejects every one of them. He seems to like science diet pretty well. But I am going to have to start buying locally in smaller bags so instead of wasting food I can try to find something that he likes.I am 78 years old on disability and a fixed income and I can't afford to be wasting money on big bags of dog food. I like your company and I like your fast shipping but it's too expensive for me to be experimenting. I welcome any suggestions. … more
