I have a husky that from birth has had horrible stomach issues. I was told by vets to avoid grain free and stick with the "top five" SD, Purina, Iams, RC and BB". All this foods made him worse. So I paid BIG bucks to see a Veterinary Nutrionalist. Turns out Vets arent hardly taught anything about nutrition I have a husky that from birth has had horrible stomach issues. I was told by vets to avoid grain free and stick with the "top five" SD, Purina, Iams, RC and BB". All this foods made him worse. So I paid BIG bucks to see a Veterinary Nutrionalist. Turns out Vets arent hardly taught anything about nutrition in school and those top five are pushed on universities especially SD and Purina. She suggested a raw diet that she would formulate with a vitamin additive as "the best" and I have no doubts it would be. However after doing the math I could not afford that. So she helped me find a food that would help my pup. This is the food we settled on. I had to do a very slow transfer but soon he started picking out only the taste of the wild pieces and leaving the other lay in his bowl. He never had any gi upset and this is the first food he has ever shown real interest in. My Nutrionalist also has me adding sardines to his food twice a week (in water no salt) but I would speak to a nutritionist to be sure that would be right for your dog. In the end, please don't just take your vets word for it. Do some research and find what's best for your dog. Especially if the have issues like my boy use to have. In the end I am very happy with this food! I hope this helps and you find what's best for your dog! … more

I think the formula may have changed? And our dogs were no longer doing well with it. They developed allergies. And started eating grass outside. After speaking with our vet, we made the switch to a different brand. Our vet doesn't recommend Taste of the Wild. And based on our personal experience I think the formula may have changed? And our dogs were no longer doing well with it. They developed allergies. And started eating grass outside. After speaking with our vet, we made the switch to a different brand. Our vet doesn't recommend Taste of the Wild. And based on our personal experience with it, we don't either, now. Our vet also recommended avoiding grain free, and other specialty type, diets unless necessary. We thought we were doing good by feeding grain free, turns out we weren't. Both dogs quit eating grass after we made the switch to something else. And their allergies have improved, too. … more
