When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

Changed Formula
By ZoMcYo on Nov 11, 2019
I used to highly recommend this formula, as it was the ONLY one that I had found that my German Shepherd, Hannah, could eat. Any other food would make her so itchy that she would chew hot spots all over herself that would ooze. She would also develop horrible ear infections that made her ears ooze and smell awful. I had her on this formula for months, and then they changed it! I have since put her on the Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream, and she is doing much better. I am also disappointed that Chewy offered the dog food at a great price ($10 cheaper per bag, so I bought in bulk,) and then when it was time to order more, the price is the same, and sometimes higher than my local feed store I used to highly recommend this formula, as it was the ONLY one that I had found that my German Shepherd, Hannah, could eat. Food we give to our Labradoodle Puppy
By mnva817 on Nov 29, 2019
Our puppy seems to really like this food. She has been on this food since she was about 9 weeks old and never once has had any tummy issues with the food itself. It is grain free. I am giving this item 4 stars just because the price is a bit higher than what I have found in stores and because it is only sold in bags of 28lbs or less. Other than that, this product seems to be a good fit for our labradoodle puppy who is now 6 months old!

Best All Around
By FormulaChange on Nov 27, 2019
I have tried many different brand, Instinct, Orijen, Famina, Organix... and nothing was sticking. She either didn't like the taste or/and getting runny stool. I gave this a try with no high hope and wow! I know this brand has focus on taste and I can see the difference immediately. The stool instantly become lighter color, solid, and less odor upon switch. If you judge input through output, then this food is really 200% better!

The Perfect Puppy Food
By HappyCustomer3 on Oct 29, 2019
I have a Doberman puppy and he eats this food like you’re gonna take it away from him, he loves it. He’s growing accordingly, not too fast, not too slow, just right. He is very healthy. His coat is beautiful, shiny, and soft. I have to watch my bigger dog because he’ll sneak over and try to eat it (he doesn’t normally do that). Our vet is pleased with his growth and health so I can’t recommend this food enough if you’re raising a large breed pup.

Chicken free
By Nikki on Dec 1, 2019
Finding a puppy food for a dog who is allergic to chicken was very expensive. This brand is priced very well, great ingredients, and my dog loves it. I switch from the fish flavor to this and he liked it a lot more.

Puppy Love!
By AmStaffLove on Oct 29, 2019
My dog loves this food. He does a happy dance at mealtime. I've managed to sneak in the last food we tried so as to use it up. (He's not super picky, but he didn't like that one.) I've not noticed as much gas from him and everything else seems normal as well. I went ahead and changed my subscription for a bigger bag and sooner delivery.

Puppy Pleaser
By Stella on Oct 29, 2019
My puppy loves Taste of the Wild puppy food; he digests it well and he's growing beautifully! It fills him up and he's full of energy. I like that there's no chicken in this formula, as most puppy foods have chicken, which I believe is an inferior meat for most dogs.

My pup doesn’t like it anymore
By Aeleen on Sep 19, 2019
I’m not the type of person that writes reviews but I felt I had to. I’ve been feeding my pup totw since she was 8 weeks old and she’s now almost 11 months. She used to love this food, she would go crazy when it was feeding time and run towards her plate but I don’t know what is wrong with the last bag I got, she smells it and walks away or just stares at it like saying “is this what I have to eat ?”. She is super food motivated and liked totw until I got the last bag, I’m switching it since I really think there’s something wrong with it because whenever I give her treats (different brand) she swallows them.

Purfect food for my pup
By Melissa14 on Nov 14, 2019
My dog was particularly with dry food, but once I was recommended this by my boyfriend; my dog loves it every time he eats. Now I give him it once a day with raw nutritional meats. Love how it is grain free as well.

Best thing for my pups
By John on Nov 30, 2019
We've been using this as our dogs main food for a long time. Even as we use other types to entice our dogs we always use this food as at least half for a base. Love it
