When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

Great for my sensitive Boxer
By Kaitlin on Feb 10, 2019
I struggled trying to find a dog food that didn’t upset my boxer’s stomach. We went through months of trying different food, to going to the vet and getting antibiotics. He was having diarrhea, bad gas all the time, and his stomach would always make noises. I knew he had to be allergic to grain so we tried different grain free formulas and even those he would still have an upset stomach. We tried the prairie formula from this brand and at first he liked it and his stool was good, but shortly after he wouldn’t eat all of his food and his stool turned back to “cow patties”. When we got this in the mail he ate it right up and is still eating all of it right away! His stool is so much better and I struggled trying to find a dog food that didn’t upset my boxer’s stomach. Great for allergies!!
By Riley on Jan 11, 2019
My almost 2 year old pit/shepherd mix has always had skin issues and was constantly biting and itching and would have random bouts of diarrhea when he was on his old food, but since I switched him to TOTW he's been doing great! He has very sensitive allergies to poultry, beef, and grains so this food is perfect for him! No more diarrhea and the itching is almost completely gone! He's been on it for about 6 months and his fur is looking shinier and healthier! He's a very hyperactive dog and this food keeps up with his activity level! Plus he loves the taste of it and gobbles it all down in minutes! All around great food for dogs with allergies! Won't touch it!
By Momof2 on Feb 5, 2019
I have 2 Labrador Retrievers that refused to eat this food. Even when mixed with old food for a transition period, they refuse to eat it. They have been eating Blue Buffalo their whole lives but I wanted something a little less expensive. I read all the reviews & this seemed like a good option. I give it 2 stars because there was no awful smell & no concern other than my spoiled pups. Just a waste of money for me. My dogs do not seem to care about cost, only taste. Lol! So back to BB it is!

Great for food allergies!
By bubbathebeagle on Feb 11, 2019
As commonly known with beagles, my guy has tons of food allergies. The Pacific Stream TOTW food is great because it doesn’t have any of the proteins he’s allergic to and is a fair price. He loves it (but he’s a beagle so he’ll pretty much love anything that involves food). The only down side being it makes his breath smell fishy, but he’s a beagle so his breath would smell no matter what lol

My dogs love it!
By Misty on Jan 26, 2019
I have a Rottweiler, Australian Sheppard mix and we just adopted a Bluetick Hound last weekend. They all love this food! I originally switched to the Pacific Stream because my Rottweiler is allergic to beef and chicken. The switch was very easy for them. The family that was fostering my Bluetick was feeding her a lamb and rice blend by Diamond and said she is a picky eater so she may not eat what we had. Well she didn't skip a beat. They all love it and if they are happy I am happy! I have recently switched to autoship and I am excited to have that option, especially with 3 big dogs. Thanks Chewy!

We have a husky that has turned 7. We wanted to switch him to a different brand (previous Iams natural) for his age with salmon that didn't cost an arm and leg. I have to be honest we went to a pet store and spent an HOUR in there looking! I saw brands over $80 for a month supply. Finally a lady brought us to Taste of the Wild. Apparently it is Excellent quality with REAL salmon not those nasty by products and has more natural ingredients. It also has probiotics built in that is great for our Husky's sensitive stomach. He LOVES this food and he is a picky one. We are so grateful for the quality and price point. Just don't forget to gradually change your dogs food and mix in with the old. We did 2 or 3 weeks gradually. … more

Siberian Husky
By Kyiesha on Jan 17, 2019
I’ve a young female who has a sensitive stomach. This is the only brand of dog food she can eat. It is said all dog foods are the same. No, no they are not. We have three Sibes. Two came from abusive homes. One of whom was so emaciated that we were not sure he would make it. We’ve had him now 7 months and this brand has him doing very well. The dead orange coat is now an olive mocha. He’s getting a full coat instead of patches of dead short hair. He’s still a long ways to go, but he will get there. A product I’ve used for three years now and will continue to use.

Completely thrilled!
By Speechless on Jan 24, 2019
My dog has a severe grain allergy, and finding the perfect food for him has been hit or miss. This brand is a HUGE hit! I love that I can give both of my dogs healthy food and new flavors whenever they get bored eating the same thing. And, best of all, my grain-allergic dogs is healthy and extremely happy for the first time ever! He even looks better (and I didn't even realize he wasn't looking very good before) with his bright eyes and shiny coat that no longer sheds. I hope they never change the formula on this food! It's the absolute BEST!

Exceptional nutrition and digestion
By JerseySeven on Jan 28, 2019
My wife and I avoid GMO foods and try to do the same for our dogs diet and this product is GMO free as well as grain free. Whether it is due to the live active probiotic cultures, or the antioxidants, I don't know, but after only two days on this food, there was a noticeable difference in my dogs' stool: darker, firmer, more compact. You don't see that with less-digestible foods. Our pets are 25 pounds and under, and the size of this kibble is perfect for them. Highly recommended!

A Great Dog Food, For Several Reasons
By DogMom on Jan 6, 2019
My Italian greyhound has a sensitive stomach & this food is tolerated by him much better than any other I've found. Plus, it is high in protein, which is important for sighthounds (since they have a very high metabolism & also don't have any body fat). With lower protein foods, both of my sighthounds begin dropping weight immediately. Since sighthounds have very sparse fur, they are prone to develop hemangiosarcoma, so my vet recommends a diet that is salmon-based & this food also meets that requirement. Before I started feeding Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream (more than 5-years ago), I was feeding a fish-based Blue Buffalo brand food.
