When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. Add a small amount of new food to your dog’s previous diet, gradually increasing the new and decreasing the previous diet until the transition is complete.

The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

Finally something by pup likes!
By Alisha on Mar 24, 2021
We brought home our German shepherd puppy with the bison flavored TOTW puppy food and he wouldn’t touch it! He went 4 days only eating the raw food we include with the kibble, and then started turning his nose at all of the food when mixed with kibble. Our breeder told us to try this flavor and he loves it! No issues with my pup smelling like other reviews have noted. He eats it like crazy and seems to work well with his belly. Our breeder said the Bison flavor can actually cause gas in puppies which can deter them from eating it.

Great dog food
By Angus on Apr 6, 2021
We purchased this for our Shar Pei puppy, hoping that the salmon would be beneficial to his coat and skin, as Shar Pei's are prone to skin sensitivities. After only a couple weeks, we noticed that his fur was so much healthier and shinier, and that his paw pads were no longer rough and dry. We are very happy with this food, and pup loves it too!!

Highly recommend
By puppymom90 on Feb 21, 2021
My puppy loves taste of the wild. I started her off on a different kind of food, but she didn't care for it. What made me change her to this brand was their wet food, because she wouldn't eat the other kind. But ever since she has been eating taste of the wild she loves it and can't seem to get enough (eventhough that's how they are as pups) but she is very healthy and active thanks to her wonderful diet. Thank you

Our Miniature Schnauzer Puppy LOVES TOTW!
By FloridaMiniSchanuzer on Jan 14, 2021
I fed TOTW food exclusively to my former Flat-Coat Retriever/Border Collie cross-breed and she lived to an amazing 17 years old and NEVER had any health issues whatsover! (She passed away from "old age). We recently bought a Miniature Schnauzer puppy from a recognized breeder. The breeder provided the food she was feeding him so we could transition him to the highly recommended brand that we temporarily bought the puppy. Well, he did not like the temporary brand and would not eat it. Remembering the awesome experience I previously had with TOTW, I ordered the TOTW Pacific Stream Puppy food for him. Once it arrived by mail, we transitioned him from the temporary food very easily! He eats it all up very quickly, licks the bowl and goes back to his empty bowl after coming back inside! His outside "business" is also very consistent and normal. I highly recommend TOTW Pacific Stream Puppy formula for your puppy! My puppy truly loves it! Our Vet also approved the TOTW brand. … more

My little girl loves this
By Charlee on Mar 29, 2021
I was feeding her a brand suggested by the breeder which was ok, but this one is so much better. Not only does she love it, her stool is solid and her coat is soft and shiny.

Great results
By Lovey on Mar 8, 2021
I changed to this puppy formula because my puppy was having chronic dry skin and gas. This food seems to have cleared up those symptoms in about a week. I will continue to give him this and he does love it!

Makes dogs smell bad
By Amys on Jan 9, 2021
Made my puppy's skin smell like stinky socks. After a few days on this food, we started smelling sweaty feet. I thought it was me. Turns out it was the puppy. Took him to the vet and was told that the smell is not uncommon when giving fish based kibble. My old dog loves the little pieces, so now her breath smells like feet

Puppies would rather starve
By CollieMom on Jan 31, 2021
Not only does this look like cardboard and smell like dust, my puppies would rather starve than eat this, not good for growing boys. We had no choice but to switch to something that was appealing to them.

Changed food
By lillian on Feb 10, 2021
We recently got this food and were transfering from blue to this food and i feel way better with this food. My pupper loves it and eats it quicker than he did the previous food.
