About Taste of the Wild Dog Food
The Diet Nature Intended
They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.
Energy That Lasts
Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.
Immune System Support
Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.
Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.
Perfectly Balanced Omegas
Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.
Ingredients for Better Health
The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.
TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.
BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.
RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

My two dogs are really spoiled! They eat this food, but are not too crazy about it. I think they would have liked it better if the chunks were half of the size they are. So I have to chop them up a little. On the positive side, I have noticed after trying so many different brands and flavors, the lamb foods agree better with my dogs sensitive tummies.
Taste of the Wild canned Dog Food
on May 10, 2017
This brand was recommended by a breeder. However, it would take my dogs forever to eat the dry food and often times I would sit with them and encourage them to eat. I added a little of this canned food to the dry food and now they can't wait for mealtime, they eat and are done.....they love it!
So happy I checked this out

My 7 month old golden retriever Bentley can be a picky eater. I've been feeding him Fromm wet and dry food, he likes it but was very hard to get him to eat. Would always have to sit with him and try multiple times to get him to eat all his food. I recently tried this Taste of the Wild and so happy I did. I added it to Bentley's food and he ate it right up! I think he likes that it's meat chunks with gravy, different than the pate I thought it was gunna be. Will defiantly be trying other flavors as well!
Our husky loves it.

Are Husky is getting old and lost some of her teeth so it's easier to chew soft food instead of the hard kibble. She took to it immediately... cleans her bowl every time. :)
All dogs enjoy this food. I enjoy the price.

I have picky eaters, and they all need a can of yummies to eat with their dry food every night. They like this food more than Merrick canned foods, thats for sure. No gas issues, and it has a high caloric content for the price. Looks slightly less processed than Merrick stews as well. I will buy again in the future, after trying some others.
Mav gives Wild Sierra Mountain a PAWS UP!!
on Mar 3, 2017
Mav isn't a fussy eater but sometimes things don't sit so well with his tummy. Finding this is WONDERFUL!! I put some of this (about 1/3 a can) on the side of his bowl (he doesn't like his food mixed lol) and then the kibble on the other side. He eats this FIRST and then onto the kibble. Leaves the bowl and when I remove it to put in the dishwasher - he comes over to lick the bowl a little more to make sure he got every drop of food. Will definitely order again. Might try another flavor to give him some variety ...:)
Thses Cans Go Well With The Dry Version
on Mar 11, 2017
I mix the canned with the dry to give my dog something a little different then just the dry, which I was feeding alone. I know he enjoys it because it's only a matter of minutes before his bowl is licked clean. Taste of the Wild is superior to any other food I have fed in the past-recommended!!!
Schnauzer loves it ❤️
on Feb 28, 2017
So much healthier then kibble. Our Schnauzer is doing much better healthwise with the canned food then taste of the wild kibble. Recommended by an a holistic doctor to rid our schnauzer of fatty limpomas. Jackson ❤️ it. Limpomas are shrinking.
My dog LOVES this canned food.
