Transition Instructions

When changing to Taste of the Wild, we recommend making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days to help avoid possible digestive upset in sensitive pets. About Taste of the Wild Dog Food

The Diet Nature Intended

The Diet Nature Intended

They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.

Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption
Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.

Ingredients for Better Health

The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.

TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.

BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.

RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

  • Amazing company all around

    By on

I just have to say I love how healthy my dogs are on Taste of the Wild. I have three dogs, 11 years, 5 years and 3 months and all are able to be on the same food. I receive compliments all the time on how healthy their coat looks. My 5 year old dog had a lot of GI trouble before I switched them over to this brand. Also have to say Chewy.com has been the best company to deal with. My last order arrived the very next day!

  • Perfect Diet

    By on

Anytime we buy for our Great Dane and German Shepard/ Ridgeback mix. We always go with a grain-free diet. It's perfect, their coats are shiny and its low in protein. We've tried several brands but are always satisfied with the product Taste of the Wild puts out.

  • Highly recommended for the price and quality

    By on

I've been feeding my two dogs Taste of the Wild for a few years now. They are both seniors and they have had no issues with the food. I first heard about it from a friend, and it also has the second-highest tier rating of 4.5 stars from Dog Food Advisor. For a dry kibble at the price they sell it for, it is good quality food. It has a fairly even balance of carbs, protein and fat whereas a lot of your typical grocery store dog chow is mostly carbs. Specifically speaking about the Southwest Canyon variety, it lists beef as well as wild boar in the ingredients list, and no grains.

My dog is a very picky eater and very hard to keep weight on him, I've never had to force him to eat this product and not worried about his weight at all, amazing product.

My English bulldog loves this brand of dog food. He’s very healthy and doesn’t have any health or skin issues which most bull dogs do.

She loved a sample & gobbled it right down. When she started the 5# bag you sent, she finally eats it when there is nothing else.

I have only been able to work with this product for about a week at this point in time. My 70 lb Bavarian Mountain dog seems to only eat it as a last resort. She eats her canned food first and if she's still hungry later in the day she will nibble on this dry food (but seems a bit reluctant).
