Description

Terumo Hypodermic Thin-Wall Needles are ultra-sharp and designed for easy penetration, which can help lessen patient discomfort when delivering an injectable medication. Each needle features a clear barrel and easy-to-read scale markings for precise, straightforward dosing. They also come equipped with integrated plungers that work to stop users from accidentally detaching the plunger when measuring. Tamper-evident peel packs help to ensure safety and minimize waste disposal.

Uses

Needles are primarily used to administer fluids to dogs and cats.

Precautions

Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.

    Best by far!

    By on

Best needles by far when needed! No one wants to hurt their innocent beloved pet, but sometimes they require supplementation to stay comfortable and be healthier. I have made the mistake of ordering other needles that while they look the same they must have been more blunt because my cat would cry out in pain and discomfort as I tried to puncture the skin so I could administer Sub-Q fluids. I never have that problem with these needles. They are the exact type that the vet first gave me when they taught me how to administer the fluids. HIGHLY RECOMMEND these over anything else I have found. They definitely help relieve some of the pain both you and your pet go through in administering necessary Best needles by far when needed! Amazing!!!!

    By on

This is my first time using these needles and I was worried because they were a bit shorter than the ones I get from my vet! I have a squirmy cat so I was scared they would maybe slip out while he moves around but I have to say I love these! Every time I used the ones from my vet, my poor baby would flinch but with these he doesn't! They go in so smoothly and you don't feel any resistance and the fluids also flow a lot quicker! The one down side, like people mentioned in other reviews, is that they don't lock so you have to be careful with them especially when uncapping them. Some of the caps are a bit hard to get off so when I try to uncap them the needle comes off. But honestly that's a minor This is my first time using these needles and I was worried because they were a bit shorter than the ones I get from my vet! Comparable to Nipro

    By on

These are comparable to the Nipro 18 gauge 1 inch needles my vet gave me, except for some reason they give the appearance to be smaller or maybe thicker. They’re sharp and the price is excellent. My cat doesn’t feel any pain when I inject her with them, so no complaints and the flow is fast.

    substantially improved my life

    By on

I have used 3 of these so far and they have already reduced the stress of giving my cat her sub-q fluids. Yes they are sharp but for me the best part about them is how quickly the fluids flow. My problem before was trying to get my cat to sit still for the 4 or 5 minutes it took to administer the fluids now it takes about a minute and a half and she really doesn’t have time to get agitated. So happy!

These really are better than other needles I have used

    By on

I have used other brands of needles to give my car sub-q fluids, and these really are the best. They go in much more smoothly and with less resistance. I would never use another brand now, and I'm so glad that I can get them at Chewy.

    They work just fine

Communication between Chewy and our vet could have been better, but I still wouldn't change Chewy for any other supplier. They are the best, hands down!

    Like a warm knife through butter . . .

    By on

Very pleased (as is my dog) with the Terumo Thin Wall Needle. Everything is as stated by the Terumo company: extra sharp and glides through tissue with no resistance. It is therefore more easily tolerated by patient and thus more humane. And it still delivers fluids quickly due to the needle size: 18G x 1". My dog is on daily SQ fluids and doesn't flinch nor complain when receiving her fluid therapy. Thank you Terumo !

    does not flow

    By on

Using this with Lactated Ringers (Generic) Electrolyte Injection Solution, 1000-mL: https://app.chewy.com/IUf6B8ubD6 Was previously using needles from the vet and had no problem. These do not flow, which is a huge issue when you have to hold your cat in place and administrator sub Q.

    Functional

    By on

As good as any 18g needle you can buy, the only difference is the great price and service. I research everything. Best value I have found so far while maintaining the high level of quality I require for my many elderly rescue Chihuahua. (Never use a needle twice. Comply with your local safe recycling rules).
