Too small for a betta perfect size for a nitrite snail
By Nick on Feb 17, 2021
my family member got this for my daughter for her birthday since he heard she was into betta fishes I told him that I was sorry but that this was too small but that my daughter still would use it for her single nitrite snail that tried to escape her 10-gallon betta tank and its amazing for that since there isn't a filter and it's too small for our gravel vac she uses a tiny cup to do water changes but this is perfect for a snail but definitely not a betta fish.

Way too small
By Kayla on Jan 22, 2021
Shamefully small for proper betta care. New fish owners that are just getting into the hobby and these are fine for their fish, because they are advertised for bettas.

Cute tank.
By moemoe on Dec 17, 2020
It shipped fast and it's cute. Everything in the tank except for the green plant and the thermometer came from chewy. My betta seems to like it and I haven't had any problems with the tank.

Betta hated it

Nice size. Good light but could never get it clean. My betta hated it. Bought a nice round glass bowl. Happier fish!

When did Chewy become a place to buy inappropriate and cruel products?
By Scout on Jul 17, 2020
Bettas need at least 5 gallon aquariums. Petstores have made it seem normal to keep bettas in small, empty containers because this is how they have to sell them (male bettas cannot be housed together, and some females prefer to be housed alone also). While most fish can be crammed economically into tanks in stores in such a way that would never be advised for fish keepers at home, bettas (fighting fish) cannot be kept so close to each other in such a confined environment. This doesn't mean that they only need a couple cups of water and perhaps a handful of gravel. Please do your research before purchasing this. Bad bad bad!!!
By catfish on Sep 9, 2020
I am not happy that this tank is even a thing, or that chewy would even sell this. I will however say that this is better then the other tetra betta tank. but still why would you even sell this. It is embarrassing! Bettas need way more room, this is a death trap!

This tank is way too small for any fish! Betta fish are recommended to have 5+ gallon tanks and this is 1 gallon! Honestly disappointed that Chewy sells these products

Too small for a betta.
By Katkat on Jul 30, 2020
A betta should have a minimum of 2 1/2 gallons. They need a filter and heater set at 78 to 80. Please consider a different tank.
