This is such a nice looking aquarium. I am new to aquariums and had my daughter’s college dorm Betta in a small tank on my kitchen counter for almost a year now. Every day I thought today I’ll order a larger tank. I was concerned I would somehow hurt the fish since he was certainly accustomed to his way of life and has done perfectly fine for so many years. With some help from the chewy customer support I was able to set this up. It fits perfectly into a corner. The lighting is just bright enough and the filter adjustable. The only reason I didn’t give this a total 5 star is because of the lid. It’s kinda flimsy and the lighting that fits into it is also kinda unstable. But over all I absolutely love it! Also FYI it doesn’t come with any decorations.
Got this on sale for $35 which is exactly what I would be comfortable paying for what amounts to a fancy see through bucket! That's all I'm using in the end, but I actually really like what I AM using so there's that. The tank is light weight and all one piece so it shipped fine, doesn't make me worry about the weight on my desk, and is easy to move empty. The bow front and smaller width back makes a lovely view. One bag of substrate was enough. The filter and lights both function but I plan to change to a sponge filter and am not using the lights or lid. I don't think the LEDs it comes with could provide adequate light for anything. The filter would be fine but vibrates too loudly against the tank material for my liking and is just SO BIG. Takes up too much room in there. Plus side: I'll have it for a different tank! Mine is going to be a betta tank but if I were picking this tank a second time I'd do shrimp. If you can get it cheap get it, but I'd never pay full price.
I had my little fish in a two gallon tank and he started to outgrow it. When I moved, I ordered this on and he just loves all the added room! He's been swimming like crazy. I saw other reviewers say that the top didn't fit the tamk. I didn't have any issues with it. I will say that I didn't use the light that came with it because it was way too bright.
This tank is amazing for its price. Very spacious for my guppies and the babies they will have! Definitely worth the buy !
Bought this for my grandson. It's a cute little tank! He has 4 small fish in it. Power filter works well. It has an adjustment slide to control the amount of filtering! To reduce flow just slide it. Very happy with it!
I am not a person who usually leaves a review, but this tank has a couple of flaws that I wanted to share. I feel the tank by itself is great if you want a tank without a lid. But one major problem is the lid, which doesn’t fit the tank. I could lay a piece of cardboard over the top and have a better closure for the top than the lid on this tank. I tried to hold it on both sides and slowly slide my fingers around the edges to snap it down, but as soon as I let go, some corners or sides popped loose. Then I feel like I have to keep a close watch on the filter because the water looks like it’s about to overflow, and maybe it’s because of the size of the tank. I am using this tank for a Betta and a couple of mystery snails, and all appear happy. If I were looking at a tank this size, though, I would not consider this one.
I only have 1. Major issue with this aquarium. The lights how it works right now is that it clips in in the back of the lid. Where it can easily fall off (which it has) the wires have small clips but they don't work the majority of the time. It's just a really bad design it would of been much better if the company would of done the following. 1. Have a suction cup on the lights itself 2. Have the lights built into the aquarium and the customer can control it by phone ior switch 3. Have it clipped to the top 4. Have the lights built into the lid itself. Or the company could get advice from their costumers. My other small complaint is the lid...you basically just put it on. Nothing really hold it in place. It easily can be bumped off which in returns will make the light fall off. Both lid and lights were not the best decision to make. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that has problems with the lighting and lid.
Bought this tank to upgrade my betta into a tank he deserves, and he LOVES it! Can't beat the price for the quality!
While I liked the overall design of the fish tank, it stated that the tank would be good for betta's. I have 2 issues with the filter. First, the filter is very loud, second, the outflow from the filter was to strong for Betta fish. I needed to purchase a separate filter with a weaker outflow.
I had reasonable hopes for this product, however, I am disappointed at how flimsy the lid has turned out to be. It falls into the tank very easily. I would not purchase again.
