Basic Installation: Place the Whisper Air Pump on a surface lower than the water level of the terrarium. To avoid damage for accidentally spilled water, do not place the pump directly below the terrarium. Use a check-valve between the pump and the terrarium. It helps stop water from siphoning into your air pump in case of an electrical power failure or when removing filters from terrariums.
Above-Tank Installation: Place the Whisper Air Pump on a shelf at least 12 inch higher than the water level of the terrarium, but not directly above the terrarium. NOTE: The shelf should have a raised edge to prevent the pump from sliding off.
Custom Installation: Use a Whisper Air Pump with 2 ports for alternate installation. NOTE: Use a Tee connector with your 2-port Air Pump for applications that require only one source of air. Air-control valves create multiple air sources. Use the valves to route the air from the Whisper Air Pump to different tanks, filters, air stones or air-operated ornaments. Adjust the air-control valves to regulate air supplied to tanks, filters, air stones and air-controlled ornaments. On 3-way valves, Knob 1 regulates airflow to Nozzle 3, and air flows through Outlet 2 unimpeded. Use end caps at the end of the line.
I am an aquarium hobbiest with multiple (7? 8? 10?) tanks. Every tank runs a sponge filter, and only 2 are close enough to share the same pump. So I’ve purchased many air pumps. This is the air pump I use exclusively now. It’s inexpensive, effective, and runs quietly. Pretty much all you need in an air pump!
After i set it up i can barely hear it. I was even worried it would produce enough air but it proved to be better than satisfactory
I like these pumps, because they work well, are quiet and don't tip over or slide like other pumps. The price is right, too.
I bought two of these to use in my betta tanks. The first one got set up without issues. When I went to test the second one, I wasn’t getting any air flow. I looked on Google and YouTube for possible answers and found one. One of the magnets was out of balance and was super easy to fix. I tested it again and and it worked perfectly. I’ve got plenty of air flow.
This pump is a tad louder than the name implies but it's still a fairly soft, even hum, so it doesn't bother me. The rubber feet keep it pretty quiet. I use it with a sponge filter for my 6 gallon tank. It was a bit strong for me so I got a valve to slow the airflow. This item does not include airline tubing, but you can get plenty for just a few bucks here or by the foot in stores.
Works as described. Can not hear it working. I am buying again for my second aquarium.
This filter works amazing, I have it in 2 different 10 gallon tanks and I love them! Its never failed me once I have multiple things hooked up to it and it works amazing I would definitely recommend it!
This air pump isn't very big, but it works hard and is very reliable. Yeah, it can vibrate and make noise against hard surfaces, but that's easily fixed by placing the air pump on a mat or folded cloth. I've just ordered another for a larger tank I'm planning to set up soon. Buy this air pump, you won't regret it.
Pumps a lot of air but it was louder than I expected. There is a lot of vibration from the pump and it has a quiet roar to it. So in the end it works well and I am still using it but I am on the lookout for something quieter. I'm new to aquariums so maybe it isn't loud in comparison to others? I'm glad I am not in the room with it all the time.
quick service ,never had problem, always in stock . never had a issue. reasonably price items .
