Instructions

Clogged airstones usually cause airflow loss. They become blocked as algae, floating debris, and mineral deposits accumulate in the pores over time. If you notice a diminished airflow, blow through the airstone yourself. If this is difficult, replace the airstone.
Worn diaphragms or other rubber parts can also diminish airflow.
Clean the outside of the pump with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
Pump mechanism never needs oil.

Basic Installation: Place the Whisper Air Pump on a surface lower than the water level of the terrarium. To avoid damage for accidentally spilled water, do not place the pump directly below the terrarium. Use a check-valve between the pump and the terrarium. It helps stop water from siphoning into your air pump in case of an electrical power failure or when removing filters from terrariums.

Above-Tank Installation: Place the Whisper Air Pump on a shelf at least 12 inch higher than the water level of the terrarium, but not directly above the terrarium. NOTE: The shelf should have a raised edge to prevent the pump from sliding off.

Custom Installation: Use a Whisper Air Pump with 2 ports for alternate installation. NOTE: Use a Tee connector with your 2-port Air Pump for applications that require only one source of air. Air-control valves create multiple air sources. Use the valves to route the air from the Whisper Air Pump to different tanks, filters, air stones or air-operated ornaments. Adjust the air-control valves to regulate air supplied to tanks, filters, air stones and air-controlled ornaments. On 3-way valves, Knob 1 regulates airflow to Nozzle 3, and air flows through Outlet 2 unimpeded. Use end caps at the end of the line.

What does UL or Non-UL mean?

Do these air pumps use a 3/16 inside diameter air line ?

All airline tubing is 1/8 of an inch in diameter.

Can I put it in with my red eared slider turtles

The air pump does not go in the water at all. It sits outside the tank. You attach airline tubing to it and run it to an airstone inside the tank or an ornament. This is commonly used to provide oxygen for fish tanks, but not turtle tanks.

Dose it come with the air hoses??

This air pump does not come with the tubing, that has to be purchased separately. It includes the air pump, a tee, and an air flow valve.

Exactly as Described

The pump came in two days and was exactly as described on Chewy. It operates very well on the 55-gallon aquarium. Operates quietly and efficiently. Great bargain.

Not so quiet...

I have a large aquarium and I was looking for a pump that was quieter than the one that came with the whole setup. I got the larger air pump by tetra at first which was SUPER LOUD. It was way too powerful and there's no way to turn the pump down. I had the same problem with the noise from the smaller one as well. It's super disappointing after changing all the air tubes around to work with the pump to put the old one back on :-(
