FAQ

My Viquarium pump has stopped pumping water. How do I get it fixed?

It will be necessary to open the pump and clean the impeller to prevent it from stopping over time. To do this, open the housing by twisting the impeller cover. Remove the housing lid and take out the magnetic impeller assembly. Now soak the black magnet and the white spinning blades in vinegar for two hours. Take a Q-tip and go around the inside of the pump. When the parts have soaked for two hours, rinse the parts with warm water and put the pump back together. This will keep your Viquarium pump running smoothly again.

    very impressed

    By on

i saw so many videos on it and it looks much better in person. however i don't think it's strong engouh for a 55 gallon tank it barely flows in my 29 gallon tank but either way its a great products so much room for customization not the product it's self but everything from the gravle to plants and so on. i recommend it to anyone. thank u chewy for the fast shipping it was suppose to arrive in 3 days but it made it in one day and a few hours.

    Our Turtle’s Happy Home

    By on

This is our second time purchasing this viquarium. Our aquatic turtle loves it so much, and as long as Sheldon is happy, I’m happy.

    Not worth the money

    By on

I do not recommend this product for use with turtles... The pump works fine, but the filtration is worthless.... It does not filter the water at all.. No matter how you set it up, it doesnt do what its supped to do...

Looks great but could use some modifications.

    By on

Received it and immediately set it up in a 29G aquarium. It is nice and looks great but I wish there were some modifications. 1: I wish there were additional sizes to accommodate wider aquariums. Basically unless your aquarium is 13" wide, it's not going to work, but that is clearly stated on the box. 2: Wis they sold something that you could put under it to raise it up a little more. As it is your only going to get about 5 1/2 inches of water which pretty much ends any chance of setting your aquarium up with live plants in it. Not sure how yet, but going to try to find a way to get it raised up so I can have deeper water for my newts. Other than that, like I said, it looks great. Pump and hoes

    By on

this item brought a pump that did not attach well on the hoes, in the instruction the hoes is shown to have some type of rubber tip that helps connect to the pump. Also, the hoes looks like some lenth of it was cut off. I had to jam the hoes into the pump hole and tape it up so not enough water is coming out of the filter due to the constriction of the hoes in the pump.

    Nice addition

    By on

My baby wood turtle loves the waterfall, riverbed. I like the addition of this naturalistic pump, filter, land, waterfall. The problem that I faced is that it does not fit a 40gal turtle tank. I had to cut a piece of slate to make it wide enough. It works great and looks good too. It did take about 11 days to receive it because of covid19 delays.

    Great Filter

    By on

Got this filter for a 40 gallon turtle tank and it works great. We put an underwater filter in the water section of the tank to keep the water extra clean.

    Perfect addition

    By on

It worked perfectly. I suggest using 2-3” rocks underneath the land part then top with moss. You can add any substrate then. This way the water can flow easier to the pump. Very happy with this item

Great product with a little work

    By on

It’s great. But, it’s a little shallow. 5 inch’s water depth. I put mine in a 55 gallon breeder tank. I cut out a plexiglass for the bottom and sides so that I could raise the depth to 6 inch’s. I use mine in a tank with firebelly newts. Since I made basically a plexiglass glass box it will be easily removed for cleaning. The space for the mister in the waterfall was a great idea too.
