Works well
This has been a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. Its compact size and easy-to-use design make it a convenient companion for camping trips and hiking excursions. The repellent effectively keeps mosquitoes at bay, allowing me to enjoy the outdoors without constantly swatting away pesky insects. While it does a commendable job of repelling mosquitoes, I found that it could be slightly more effective. Nonetheless, its overall performance and portability make it a reliable tool for mosquito protection on the go. I would definitely recommend it to fellow outdoor enthusiasts who want to enjoy bug-free adventures.
Repel Mosquitoes Without Spray
Although this product is ideal for camping, fishing and hunting, it has also been great to use around the backyard for other outdoor activities at home. On a recent evening the family and I fired up the backyard fire pit and use the Thermacell. In previous evenings we have been somewhat bother a bit by flying pests that are usually drawn to the fire, but there was a noticeable difference on the evening we used the Thermacell. Because it creates a 15-foot zone of protection, mosquitoes especially seemed to have been kept well at bay from the entire family. It has also been helpful to wear this Spring while I have been planting my flowers and vegetables, especially in the evenings when it starts to cool down. But this is also traditionally mosquitoes favorite feeding time. While wearing the Thermacell I have experienced noticeably less bites. I like that this product repels mosquitoes without scent or having to apply product directly to the skin. Even though it does work relatively well, the slightest breeze does tend to carry the fumes from the pad away, leaving little protection except in the downwind path. The idea of a mobile unit is nice, but It might work best in still environments. This product also might be improved with a dial to adjust the fuel which burns at a constant rate and is not currently adjustable.
Great Mosquito Repeller
Thermacell Mosquito Repeller works great! This one is portable and can be used anywhere outdoors! I have used mine on my deck, just turn it on and set it down. This repeller comes with the fuel cartridge and repellant. We used ours and you could see a small orange light in the gadget to know it's on, but also a little smoke emitted and showed as the repellant burned. It also has a carrying case to take it for camping, fishing or hiking, any place mosquitoes may bother you. This gives great protection for my family and pets. It's easy to storage, since it's small. It's great!
Draws mosquitos to one spot
Mosquitoes love me. It's like my blood is the ice cream truck on a summers day that all the kids scream for. Well, this product helped me while playing outside with my kids. I inserted the fuel in the casing, heard the spark and then I saw the magic begin to happen. The mosquitoes were lured to this bad buddy and left me alone. It was like my own personal mosquitoes superhero. I would love a bigger unit to keep in my yard in the future. Great investment.
Effective and compact.
I tried the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent ,the model number was MR300. It was easy to follow the instructions to insert the refill mats (which was included) and the refill tank ( also included). The instructions were clear and easy to complete to ignite the product. It does state that it is best for outdoor environments with less movement, so far we tried it while sitting outside in our back yard. It did take about 15 minutes before we saw the vapor being released into the air. It also states that windy conditions can effect it. I feel as though there is a lot of restrictions on use for full effectiveness to the portal thermacell. It did keep some bugs away from our area and off our child who was near by. The scent is very minimum which is nice and easy to turn off. I had it clipped to my side for a little while and I felt it was a little unsafe especially if you accidentally touch the front while warm. It doesn't stand up well enough on its own to just leave it sitting somewhere. Not sure what is the best to clip the product to while in the back yard or at a camp ground. But overall it is effective as a compact product.
Mosquito control
I recently got a chance to use my portable thermacell mosquito repellent and I was super impressed! I live near a drainage ditch that always has standing water so mosquitos are always out . The other day while out doing yard work me and my 2 sidekicks aka my dogs didn't have any problems at all I had only one bite which is amazing they get so bad sometimes even mosquito spray doesn't stop them but this little protable device made all the difference!!! The thermacell is also super easy to use and with the holster and clip it's even easier to carry around anywhere you need to go .
Works good
I am satisfied with the Thermacell MR300 Portable Mosquito Repeller. It works sufficiently. I am a person who loves being outdoors, camping, biking, fishing, gardening, etc. I only hate being outdoors at times because of the mosquitoes. I also wasn't fond of all the alternative bug-repellent methods, spray, roll-on, patches, or cream. The stickiness and messiness of some brands weren't to my liking. Since I have used the portable repellent, life outdoors has been pleasant. I no longer have mosquitoes around me. It works by giving a 15-foot zone of protection against mosquitoes. There are no more smoke, flames, or harsh odors like citronella. My favorite feature is heat-activated technology powered by a safe and compact 12-hour fuel cartridge that emits scent-free repellent that repels mosquitoes. When it's time to replace them, the unscented repellent mats change color and last up to 4 hours each. There are no cords or batteries to worry about. It is a product I highly recommend.
Great mosquito repellant
I love this Thermacell portable mosquito repellant. Having two children who are mosquito magnets, and one of them being under a year old, means we need adequate and reliable protection, and Thermacell gives us that! We just clip it to us, or their wagon or stroller, and we're off having fun and not worrying about mosquitoes. It is a life and blood saver!
It actually works!
Ok, when I first got this and turned it on, I thought there was no way the mosquitos that were biting me five minutes before, weren’t going to bite me when I smelt nothing or seen anything from the product. I went outside for about 20 minutes before this with my husband to see if they were out and biting, they were! It had rained recently and there was standing water. We also decided to barbecue, to really test it out, since it takes a few hours to cook. We were so surprised! I had three bites on me from before we turned it on and he had four. After turning on the theracell mosquito repellent, we had none!! Love this product and I will definitely be buying more in the future as needed!
Why did I not know about this sooner??
I love this machine. Living in FL where mosquitos are big enough to haul you off, this purchase has quickly become my favorite. I love that the setup on this was quick and easy. This thing is quiet and without all the funky smoke and smells or most other mosquito products. Not having all the smoke and smells of other products was nice but at the same time it worried me because I thought how was ingoing to know it's working and is it even going to work without all that. I quickly learned that it works. Normally we use 2-3 products at the same time to try and keep them at bay, but this one product running kept them away each and every night we've sat outside. We set it on the table and run it while we are all chatting and no mosquitos! The great thing about this is that it's very portable so we can bring it with us to friends houses, hiking, or anywhere else where mosquitos are an issue. It even has a carrying case you can clip on your built that you can purchase. It's easy to tell when you need to put a new pad in because it turns from blue to white. I love that feature! I cannot recommend this product enough!!
