Mosquito Lantern
This mosquito repellent lantern from Thermacell seems to work great at deterring mosquitos. I believe no repellant is perfect, but there were noticeably less mosquitos flying around the lantern area. My favorite part about this lantern is its look. It isn't obviously a repellant device until you look closely, so I like how it looks and that I could put it almost anywhere.

I love this lantern, it works great at keeping the mosquitos away, not just for my family and friends but also my dog. It's so easy to use and so much better than other repellents we've tried and used because this is so much safer, more convenient and provides a 15ft barrier. There's no more sprays that you have to apply to yourself or in the air, it doesn't have a flame, smoke or heat that you get from candles and torches and you don't get that bug smell because this doesn't have any of that, it uses a small fuel cartridge and small mats that get activated from the fuel. It's very easy to use and refill and it's lightweight, portable, quiet, and is people and pet friendly. It has a handle so that you can hang it or you can just put it on the tabletop. It even has an LED light that you can use to give the area lighting. Everything you need is included in the box (minus the batteries) to get started and you can buy refills so it isn't just a one-time use. Great to have on the porch/patio, by the pool, backyard, pretty much anywhere you would want a mosquito barrier.

Unfortunately, I am a mosquito magnet. I have tried every trick in the book and every product out there to keep mosquitos away so I can enjoy the outdoors. The only thing that really works for me are deet-based products. But, I know how bad deet can be and was looking for something that would allow me to be outside without dousing myself in bug spray. Luckily, I got the opportunity to sample the Thermacell Shield Lantern Mosquito Repellent and I am happy to report that I am no longer worried about going outside! I still get the random bite or 2, but no where near the number of bites I used to get. It works at repelling insects within a 15-foot radius, is natural and safe to use around people and pets. My only qualm is that it has to be set up 15 minutes in advance and sometimes, I just don't know I'll be outside until I'm going outside!
Compact, Cute, Effective
A discrete way to ward of mosquitos. The pros: It's cute, accent decora that has a warm light. It's effective, I never saw any mosquitos around me as I sat near by on my patio. It's mobile, take it with you while you garden, keep those pests away. Nifty on and off switches, if you don't want the light, turn it off. Reusable, refills are available. The cons: Battery powered, I would prefer solar or rechargeable. The light is not going to help you see anything, it's purely decoration.
Effectively Keeps Flying Insects Away
I love spending time outside on my patio but lately, mosquitoes have kept me from enjoying time outside. I’m that person that gets eaten alive when mosquitoes are out so I decided to try Thermacell’s Mosquito Repellent Lantern. I love the cosmetic design and the led lights give off a beautiful ambiance so I can enjoy the evening sky. I’ve been using it for over a week and I’m happy to say it delivered on its claims of protecting from flying insects within a 15-foot radius. I like that the lantern and repellant function individually or simultaneously. One of the features I like most is that utilizes active plant ingredients instead of harsh chemicals like deet making it safe to use around my pets and grandchildren. Because I’m the worst at assembling anything I appreciate that it comes already assembled. I only had to insert the mat which was quick and easy. Overall I’m very satisfied and highly recommend it.
Great Repellent!
I recieved a free product of Thermacell Patio Shield Lantern Mosquito Repellent to try and review. I love how easy this repellent works! I was able to get it put together and running in a few minutes! It looks great on my patio and repells mosquitos with ease! This Thermacell Patio Shield Mosquito Repellent is easily portable, so I could move it to the area I was occupying without any trouble. I will be purchasing more!!
Thermacell bug trap
Works great and easy to use, but they failed to let you know how long the pads last. Only 4 hours I found out; after leaving it on all night; and of course I ran out of fuel too and had to order more of both,
Mosquitos No More
What mosquitos? There no where to be found when using this product. I've been using this for a little over 1 week. My family and I have sat comfortably on my back porch which is 20' long and it has stayed mosquito free. I love this product. I received the Thermacell Patio Shield Lantern Mosquito Repellent from Thermacell to try and give my honest opinion. I couldn't be more impressed with a Mosquito product. I have tried so many, but the Thermacell actually works great. I can be outside all day and not have to worry about bites. The little Lantern is just a added bonus that makes for a perfect accessory and gives off some light. I would recommend the Thermacell Patio Shield Lantern Mosquito Repellent for anyone who loves to spend time outside.
Great repellent, bad light
Although I love Thermacell products, I'm not in love with this lantern. It's big and bulky and the light from it really isn't worth putting in batteries. With that being said, I'll never spend another summer without Thermacell products on my patio. Finally, I can sit outside in Texas after dark without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I only wish that the fuel cartridges lasted longer or there was some kind of automatic shutoff. I don't know how many times I've accidentally left it on and gone outside the next day to an empty fuel cartridge. They're a little expensive but well worth it in my opinion.
