Lysine powder
By Suey on Feb 19, 2021
Tomlin brand is better...dissolves in food easier, more lysine in smaller size scoop. This has less lysine per dose and bigger scoop so larger size means nothing . Suspect increased 'fillers' in play. Seems to work 'okay', but lower dose not quite as effective as symptoms have reappeared on occasion.

Do not buy
By Imacatman on Jun 22, 2020
This product is 80% maltodextrin. There are 5g in one scoop and only 1g is taurine. The only other ingredient specified is maltodextrin, therefore 4g is simple sugar. This is crazy. Why would a company do that? This is a maltodextrin supplement with taurine, not a taurine supplement. CATS SHOULD NOT EAT THIS.

easy to use
By Katzenliebhaber on Dec 9, 2019
have only been using for a couple weeks so cannot testify as to efficacy but seems to be a quality product. it does contain maltodextrin which i'm not thrilled about but other than that it is just taurine. it comes with a graduated measuring spoon and gives a suggested dosage for cats on the canister. it is easy to mix into wet food or liquid and my cat hasn't refused to eat anything it has been mixed into. i find it's a good way to make sure my cat gets enough taurine in his homemade/raw food diet. the canister is fairly large and is a good value. giving 4 stars just because of the maltodextrin.

Dissatisfied
By Nita on Jan 4, 2020
This product contains Maltodextrin, which is a sweetener. I ordered in October 2019 to ensure that my elderly cat would have adequate taurine during times when the cat is being given homemade foods. I just started using due to cat's recent loss of appetite, and now I can't use. Only tried to feed a couple of times and cat won't eat homemade foods he really liked if the maltodextrin is on it. I do not recall seeing product information indicating Felo Taurine contains maltodextrin. I would like a refund. Will contact customer service.

Unnecessary Maltodextrin Beware
By MousesMom on Dec 16, 2019
I usually trust Thomas Labs products, but this is not pure Taurine. It has maltodextrin in it. I kept wondering why the container was SO sticky. Yes, it is easy to feed, but I don't want my animals to have a bunch of unnecessary and unhealthy sugar. I have now ordered food grade pure taurine from another source. Pitching this in the trash. Use your own judgement.

Beware of Maltodextrine content
By Fluffysmom on Nov 10, 2019
If you buy pure human-qualified taurine with no additives your cat's 500 mg dose of taurine is contained in 1/8 tsp. With this product, the same 500 mg dose of taurine in in 1/2 tsp. Hmmm. That's a lot of maltodextrine additive. Look up maltodextrine and decide if it's a product you want to give your cat. I'm sticking with the pure product.

It gives a little peace of mind
By Daryl on Oct 12, 2019
Since there are no more premium cat food with grains, I was quite concerned that my cats will have a deficiency of taurine. It mixes well with wet cat food and my cats eat without reservation. I need this product in a gel form that I can give to my cats who do not eat wet food as this product will not stick to dry food.

Waste of time and money.

I threw it out after reading some reviews elsewhere and realizing this product is mostly sugar. More careful next time.

Felo Taurine made a huge difference in my cat's life. Worked as recommended by doctor and very reasonably priced.

So convenient
By MimiMama on Jun 3, 2019
I was previously using a taurine supplement that came in tablet form. I would have to crush it with the back of a spoon before mixing with the food. This is so much easier. I just sprinkle a measured amount on top and stir it in. It's a time saver and kitty likes it.
