The ThunderCollar Dog Collar has a classic style, but it’s much easier to put on and take off than any average collar. To get the most accurate size collar for your furry best friend, measure the center of their neck a with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pup’s neck.
We recommend if you have a toy breed or small dog, add an inch to the neck measurement. For medium and large dogs, add two inches to the neck measurement.

Broke within less than a month

I thought this was going to be the solution! But the plastic tag clip broke within less than a month of use.

I liked the concept, but . . .

I was excited to receive this collar. But I couldn't even open it! I have tried 15 - 20 times, following the directions. If I thought the other pinch closing things were hard, this is impossible. I'm sending it back. I need a collar that I can get on and off the dog without hassle. This certainly isn't it. If I can't get it open the first time, I surely don't want to fight with it every time it needs to come on or off!

Love it but didn't last

I love the collar. It works great with the Thunderleash. The bonus tag silencer is amazing! But the collar isn't only 2 months old and is fraying. I know it is from when our dogs play around. Our puppy always grabs the collar to get her brother to the ground. But the puppy is only 10 weeks old. She is a quarter of the size of her brother (both Catahoula Leopard dog mixes). So here I am shopping for a new collar. :( I tried to add pictures. But the site had an error.

Collar is good. I have a Yorkie and she's not liked any of the collars we got her. We put this on her and of course she fought it for awhile (something new) and then she just got comfortable with it. I think cause its more comfortable feel to it and its not that constricting.

We had just received a beautiful and magnificent 14 week old Rottweiler female pup. She is strong and large necked. This collar goes on extremely easy with the snap on buckle therefore avoiding pinching her skin or pulling her hair out.

Works great with matching harness/lead. My dog chewed at the other bulky harnesses but this one is simple, effective & not cumbersome on the leash to play freely with the dog.

We purchased two of these collars for our two labs. Color was nice, they were easy to adjust and are fitting well. We like the fastener system on these as well.

Didn’t work for my tiny Yorkie

Collar seems very well-made. The clasp was very hard to manipulate and had a hard time getting it on and off. Might work for a larger dog but my dog is only 4 lbs so quite heavy for her.
