My giant dog loves putting this on, and it is effective in calming him, especially on walks (he is leash reactive). The largest size leaves plenty of room for my 110 lb pup to grow, but can be adjusted snugly. The drawbacks? It is not at all chew resistant, and the velcro is hard to keep clean. Purchased the Thundershirt in XL for our 85lb Ridgeback with separation anxiety. The size is fine and fits her well the shirt is too thin to do anything. This has changed my doxies life for the better! Her best friend died a few months ago and she has had a very difficult time. She would cry and have accidents from getting herself so upset. I bought this along with calming treats and she is doing much better. My other dog was diagnosed with diabetes shortly after her best friend passed away. She just started acting very stressed and the vet recommended a sedative which I was against. This beats any medication any day!! I strongly suggest this and the calming treat which has all natural ingredients before trying any kind of sedatives. This has saved her life and has been such a blessing. Thanks so much Chewy!

I got one for my chocolate lab two years ago for fireworks and thunderstorms. It doesn't bother him and it seems to me like he looks forward to it during thunderstorms. Before I forget, I've also used it to alleviate his separation anxiety. I also bought two for my two Chihuahuas knowing how excitable they are and it works great.

Bought this for our Doberman who is about 95lbs. Purchased XL and fits well. He had surgery on his underside and he kept opening up wound regardless of the wrapping we used. ThunderShirt showed up 2 days after ordering it and it has been a lifesaver. Not only does it calm him a bit but keeps him from scratching at wound constantly. Highly recommend this for any dog have surgery on their torso.

My mini dachshund does great in his kennel but starts to bark when my upstairs neighbor gets home. I tried calming sprays and pheromones with no success. I got him the ThunderShirt and it worked shockingly well! He doesn't bark and is still super happy to see me when I get home. XS fits him well and he's about 14 pounds.

I have two of the Thunder shirts and they are wonderful for such an active little guy. He loves to have it on and calms down immediately. He is not afraid of much but he is very active so it is a big help to keep his attention while trying to train him

My 4 dogs clean their bowls now. Even in the morning when they get it dry. At night I add more deboned chicken and a little unsalted broth as a treat for them. My dogs look forward to mealtime!I finally feel good about what I am feeding my babies.

Based on sound research, and preferable to giving various calming treats in my opinion. The only problem is I have dealt with a couple of dogs who were so nervous they were afraid of the ThunderShirt. One didn't like the sound of the Velcro opening and closing. So, in both those cases I had to do a lot of clicking and treating to get them to let me put them on and take them off, but it was successful and quickly became "old hat."

The thundershirt seems to be working to keep my yorkie calmer while we are gone. He would have so much anxiety before. We’ve only used it a few times. At first he didn’t like it on but doesn’t seem to mind when I put it on him now.

Our large German Shepherd had emergency abdominal surgery and we used this to keep her calm and protect her incision and stitches. Our vet said it was also very good to help support her belly and give her comfort while she is recovering which is not the typical use for it. Money well spent.

My little girl is scared by any overhead noises - including in the house. The minute I put her Thundershirt on she was so much better...Wish I had bought it six months ago when I first adopted her and noticed the problem!
