Couldn't even get it near her paws.

    By on

My cat is very anxious all the time, and it gets worse around one of our two other cats because they haven't gotten along basically ever. She has a very sensitive sense of smell, and would not let me near her if the tube was open. I got a small dab on her paw and she refused to come near me for several hours. Second attempt I mixed it with wet food like a gravy, which disguised the smell enough for her to eat it. She didn't change in demeanor at all and was still her very anxious self.

    Works great to calm kitty.

I have a 5 yr. old high anxiety cat that frequently over grooms to the point of pulling out tufts of fur, leaving bald spots. He also pulls out tufts of hair during thunderstorms. My vet suggested that I try this calming gel so I got a tube from my local pet store. I've been giving him this gel for a month now and it works amazingly well on him! Whenever he is having one of his anxiety episodes, I give him a dose of this gel and it calms him down within 5-10 minutes. It works really fast on him. He loves the taste and eagerly licks it off my finger. This may not work on all cats, just like catnip doesn't affect all cats. I ordered 3 more tubes of this since it works so well and as usual, Chewy's price is better than any others I've seen. … more

    Helped My Cat

    By on

I do feel this product is worth purchasing. Of course, some kitties aren’t going to take it easily, but my cat did eat it off my finger and it did help her. She is a very finicky eater also, so I was surprised she ate it. It definitely helped to calm her down. Does it perform miracles? No. But, it does help and worth using. I will keep on hand and buy again.

    Totally recommend

    By on

This is my second tube of this, purchased before July 4th this year. I have two nervous cats; one is 17 and the other 7. They both tolerate the product well, although the older cat seems to sleep a bit more the next day. This product recommends putting it on your cat's paw; I just squeeze it on my finger because they both love the taste and will lick it off and I can control the distribution better. It works like a charm before fireworks and when you dose at the start of thunderstorms it works pretty fast. It's a necessity in this house at this point for my jittery kitties.

    It actually works?

    By on

I've tried tons of different products to try to calm my two 9-year old cats down. I honestly thought this wouldn't work either, but it does! They refuse to lick the gel off my finger but, i started mixing it into their wet food and now they eat it fine. At first they were very hesitant, but after 2 or 3 times they started eating it mixed into their wet food. They are quite a bit calmer now and I'm so happy this is working so far!

Maybe this stuff works, who knows? My cat could not be convinced to even lick my finger with a bit of this gel on it.

My cat prefers it mixed into food

My cat wouldn’t lick it off her paw. A storm was coming and she was acting nuts so I blended into her wet food and she ate it up! Currently passed out for a nap :)

    So AMAZING!

    By on

This has been like a miracle for us! Our cat was diagnosed with hyperesthesia 2 months ago. He's been lethargic, self-mutilating, and crying out in pain every time we tried to pet him. He even started to bite when touched which is VERY unlike him. 2 DAYS on this and he was almost completely back to normal. It's been 2 weeks now and he is feeling frisky! His coat is shiny again and, best of all, he wants to be petted again! It's so awesome!

    Works for us

    By on

Might not work for every kitty but it does for my Joey. I give it to him very late at night to calm his pacing and vocalizing (I live in a large apartment building: lots of noise). As it soothes him to rest I am able to sleep in peace. When it’s a really bad day/night, I give him this Cat Calming Paw Gel early evening (he loves salmon flavor) and wait 4 hours (around midnight) to give him one Zylkene Oral Capsule. He’s then able to ignore noises without hiding, trembling or startling. He sleeps better without the nervous trembling and is my loving playful boy the following day.
