Instructions

Transition Instructions

  • Place a cat pad, soft side up, in the drawer. Slide the drawer into the base. Fill the top portion of the box with one package of litter pellets.
  • Put stool and/or urine clumps from your previous litter box onto the litter pellets in the Breeze litter box. This helps your cat understand that Breeze is her new litter box.
  • Place the Breeze litter box next to your previous litter box, and let your cat have access to both boxes. Please stop cleaning your previous litter box.
  • After 2 - 3 days, remove your previous litter box.
  • Dos and Don'ts: Most cats need time to adjusts to the change in their litter. During the transition, please help your cat by observing the following: Do be patient. The Breeze litter box is very different from traditional litters, and some cats may take longer than others to make the switch. Don't force your cat into the Breeze litter box. Let her explore the new box on her own. It's important that your cat chooses to use the new box on her own. forcing her into the Breeze litter box could frighten her, and she may avoid using it altogether. Do set up your new Breeze litter box right next to your previous litter box. Putting your Breeze litter box in the same location helps to minimize the change your cat is experiencing. Don't hover around the Breeze litter box. Give your cat a chance to explore it on her own. Even cats prefer a little privacy when they are doing their business.

Box Set-Up

  • Snap the side-wall on the grated base.
  • Place a cat pad in the drawer of the breeze litter box. Slide the drawer into the base.
  • Fill the top portion of the breeze litter system with one package of litter pellets.

Easy Maintenance

  • Scoop out solid waste and dispose of daily. Note: Litter pellets do not clump.
  • Add more litter pellets as necessary. Note: Litter pellets generally last one month.
  • Slide drawer out to replace soiled pad. Drawer can be rotated 180 degrees, without touching the pad, to extend pad life. Note: Breeze Pads generally last up to one week for a single cat.

  • Great idea in Theory

    By on

I have a senior cat with kidney problems. Her urine is weak and plentiful. She ends up with litter sticking to her back paws because of the volume. This seemed like a great idea. The tray has indentations on either side of the handle and somehow it fills up with urine. Also the pads that are supposed to last up to a week actually last 1-2 days. I turn the tray around since she seems to like to go in one corner of the box and that way both ends of the pad get used. A new pad every day or every other day means they get expensive fast. A larger tray might help keep the urine out of the indentation at the handle and the pads need to be more absorbent and less expensive.

  • Great, except the smell of poop

For anyone buying a starter system, I'd recommend to go ahead and purchase an additional refill bag for your first month of use. It seems like the strategy will be to empty and completely refill with new pellets 1x monthly, but to also have an additional bag of refills for as needed add-ins throughout the month. The pellets do start to become a little sparse after a week or two; honestly they *seem* a little sparse from the get-go. But, that may just be me not knowing. I'm trusting the designers on this one. Much easier cleanup and (in my opinion) reduced smell from a litter box with clumping litter. My husband does not agree, though. He is really bothered (as am I) by the smell when our kitten poops, because that odor is not well-controlled by this box. Usually she will cover it, and in that case it's not *that* bad. However, at least once a day she will poop and not cover it, which I assume is because of the sparse amount of pellets in the box. Those times are terrible. It smells so bad. I'm trying to just be sure there's some extra pellets at all times to prevent this. Not eager to switch back just yet. … more

  • almost.......but unfortunate.

I was so excited for this system and to not have litter scattered throughout the house anymore. Even though my cat is 14, he adjusted easily to the new litter box. Conceptually it's a great idea but a couple days in I realized there is no urine odor control. I scoop the poop daily but the pellets stink of urine (super offensive) and the pads have to be changed every 2 days. I never had an odor problem with Scoop away so I will be switching back.

  • Love this!

    By on

I ordered this because I am tired of cleaning up the dust that other litters make (even though they were advertised as dust free, low dust, etc). Gus is a messy guy who can broadcast traditional litter many feet, even from a covered box. I was pleasantly surprised by the Breeze system. No more dust and it's sooooo easy to use. The even bigger surprise is how quickly Gus adapted to it. I just followed the instructions. I was able to ditch the old litter box after ONE DAY! No more dust! Just an occasional pellet or two.

  • Me and my kitties love!

    By on

OMG this is so nice! I have four cats and had been using clumping litter forever. Litter on the floor, litter on my feet and a daily drag to clean. I almost feel guilty with so much less work and the floor stays clean! I didn't exactly follow the instructions to slowly introduce my kitties, I just replaced the existing boxes with these. Three of my kitties (all girls) took to it immediately. My lone male however was secretly going in other areas of the house. After a couple days locked in my laundry room he's now potty trained again as well. Getting away from those heavy litter containers is the best! I just hope the pee pads will be available for a long while. That's my only concern OMG this is so nice! I have four cats and had been using clumping litter forever. • GREAT FOR RABBITS IF...

    By on

I have two small rabbits. DO NOT USE the litter intended for the top tray. They will eat it. Instead, place Timothy hay in the top of the litter box and puppy pads or the sponge pads in the bottom tray. This keeps the rabbits out of their own urine and allows me two days between litter box cleaning. For rabbits, I also turn the white "shield" around where the tray faces the wall of the pen so that the bunnies don't pull out the urine tray. This was a Godsend for me as I struggled to find a way to keep them from sitting in their urine and I use much less hay than when I had to fill an entire litter box with it just to be thrown out.

  • My Cat thinks its a bed

    By on

I have an indoor/outdoor kitty.. he has only had access to a normal litter pan once..he stayed inside for 2 days after being neutered and had a litter pan in the room and he used it. After the 2 days we threw out the litter pan. with it getting cold, we thought we would get him a new pan for the house for the winter months etc. When I showed him the new pan... he just laid in it and rolled around... hoping he will use it one day

  • Dream come true

    By on

I can't seem to run out of good things to say about this product. It was super easy to assemble. I like the look and size of the box. I haven't gotten far enough to fully clean it, but it looks like it would be easy to deep clean as well, as it all comes apart. I can take the pad drawer out to rinse/wash it periodically. The only issue I've had (one time) is when I took the tray out to wash it, my kitty used the box! Other than that, it's easy to use and maintain.

  • Happy with purchase

I love that I don't have sand all over my house! My cats are having a hard time adjusting..they still want to go in the old box. Instructions say not to clean the old box so they are forced to go in the new box..apparently my cats don't care how dirty the box is.( I DO!) I'll give them another week and then I'm yanking that box. It could be my fault I have been cleaning the box just not as often.

  • Great product!

    By on

I have 3 cats. I ordered two systems to start off with. Its been a week since the cats have started using them and I can really tell the difference! There is less odor in my house and it is very easy to clean. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because some pellets do get tracked around the house but not near as bad as regular litter. My cats started using it right away and seem to really enjoy it!
