Transition Instructions

  • Place a cat pad, soft side up, in the drawer. Slide the drawer into the base. Fill the top portion of the box with one package of litter pellets.
  • Put stool and/or urine clumps from your previous litter box onto the litter pellets in the Breeze litter box. This helps your cat understand that Breeze is her new litter box.
  • Place the Breeze litter box next to your previous litter box, and let your cat have access to both boxes. Please stop cleaning your previous litter box.
  • After 2 - 3 days, remove your previous litter box.
  • Dos and Don'ts: Most cats need time to adjusts to the change in their litter. During the transition, please help your cat by observing the following: Do be patient. The Breeze litter box is very different from traditional litters, and some cats may take longer than others to make the switch. Don't force your cat into the Breeze litter box. Let her explore the new box on her own. It's important that your cat chooses to use the new box on her own. forcing her into the Breeze litter box could frighten her, and she may avoid using it altogether. Do set up your new Breeze litter box right next to your previous litter box. Putting your Breeze litter box in the same location helps to minimize the change your cat is experiencing. Don't hover around the Breeze litter box. Give your cat a chance to explore it on her own. Even cats prefer a little privacy when they are doing their business.

Box Set-Up

  • Snap the side-wall on the grated base.
  • Place a cat pad in the drawer of the breeze litter box. Slide the drawer into the base.
  • Fill the top portion of the breeze litter system with one package of litter pellets.

Easy Maintenance

  • Scoop out solid waste and dispose of daily. Note: Litter pellets do not clump.
  • Add more litter pellets as necessary. Note: Litter pellets generally last one month.
  • Slide drawer out to replace soiled pad. Drawer can be rotated 180 degrees, without touching the pad, to extend pad life. Note: Breeze Pads generally last up to one week for a single cat.

  • Life changing product

The Breeze system has been a life changing product for our furry family. I have not stepped on litter in 10 days! The pellets stay in the box except for a few strays that I don't mind picking up with my bare hands and tossing them back into the box. They aren't wet, they don't crumble or fall to pieces, they stay whole. The urine goes around them and into the tray below. Since my kitties tend to pee in the same place in the box, I just pull out the tray, turn it around and pop it back in. The smell is contained in the pad and it gives 2 days of absorption per pad. The pads slide out nicely when they are ready to be changed. • Best yet, at least for small cat

Our rescue kitty took to the system well enough, though she was skittish at first. The pellets are large, and I think their size and weight helps keep them from being flung about. The bag of pellets doesn't completely fill in the bottom, and when she poops it doesn't get buried completely, but within a few minutes the smell just goes away. That said, there isn't much room for being lazy with this system, because it fills up with solid waste quickly, but it seems easier and less nasty to clean without the clumps of urine. The pan itself isn't good for a large cat, my medium size cat seems a bit cramped. The odor control is fantastic. • Greatest litter box system ever

    By on

I used to use the scoopable litter for years. Saw this. Read lots of reviews, which were good, and decided to give it a try. So glad I did. No smells at all. I have 4 cats. They do go outside in the backyard to play so they do some of their business out there but I can go over a week before I have to change out the pads. So much easier. I so recommend this system. My sister now uses it and she had 10 cats. Not kidding. My daughter got 2 new kittens and her daughter (11y.o) was in charge of the litter box. She wasn't very good at it because she didn't want to do it. You know how kids say yes, I'll do whatever and then don't. That's her. Told my daughter to get the Breeze system. She did. • Epic fail for cats

    By on

I was really hoping to be done with messy cat litter. My 2 cats are older but I really wanted to give this system a try. Got 2 separate systems set them up and within a month I am switching back. The cats adjusted mostly but one decided she liked an area rug better. Not good. The real fail for me however was the strong urine smell coming from the kitty pads in the bottom of the system. I flipped them half week and changed them once a week but honestly I think the pads should be changed almost every day. This would make the system way too expensive. A positive was the use of the pellets. They made cleanup easy and if I mixed them around each day they would dry out. Pretty cool. So for me it I was really hoping to be done with messy cat litter. • Almost there

I've used this litter system for six months. The pad is awesome. No urine smell at all. My cats transitioned very easily. The downside to this litter box is that there is not a cover. The pooties stay on top and are visible and smellable. I have 2 cats and feed them the best food so they don't pootie excessively, one nugget a day. I had been cleaning the litter every night but with this box it's several times a day. The box doesn't allow for enough pellets for the cats to bury their business. The box is also sized so that you can't even put it inside another larger hooded box. The lack of a hooded cover also means pellets everywhere if your cat is an enthusiastic digger which one of mine I've used this litter system for six months. The pad is awesome. • Excellent System

    By on

As an owner of MULTIPLE cats, I am always trying new litter products. The new Breeze system is very good; it does reduce odors. My cats, who are early adopters of everything cat, used it immediately. I have one cat who for years has not engaged with a litter box, but took to the Breeze litter. It would be helpful if the box were larger to accommodate bigger cats, but this one works. Over time, the expense of purchasing the litter and the pads may be a negative for this product. However, if you have to have one or two cats and a litter box in a human living space, this is a good system.

  • Cat Owner Life Changer!

I will start by saying i never thought i was a cat person, the litter box, the sneak attacks, the unwillingness to sit on command :), all of it was unappealing. I hesitantly allowed my daughter to adopt our first cat from the humane society and poof!, i'm a cat person. All went well other than the litter box maintenance. I thought cats were supposed to be low maintenance. I was in search of a different system when i ran into a "crazy cat lady" at a mega pet store with 31 cats. I asked her for a recommendation on a litter system and she recommended the breeze system. Seriously, life altering! Yes, occasionally there are litter pellets outside of the box but i can pick them up and drop them back in the box. No urine smell at all. I now have two cats and three litter boxes (one for each cat and one in the basement in case someone gets trapped down there). I change the pads more often than recommended (twice a week), i only change pellets every other month and i put twice the recommended amount of cat pellets in each box. It is definitely a more expensive system but who wants their home smelling like cat urine and who wants to handle the constant changing of litter. I purchase the litter pellets and pads on auto order. Works for me, everyone is happy and my house doesn't stink. … more

  • Breeze litter box

I've attempted to write a review several times but I'm not sure if it went through or not. Please forgive me if this is a repeat!! thank you, thank you for this wonderful invention of the Tidy Cats Breeze Litter Box System!! It is the greatest by far. There is no mess. There is no smell and the litter box always looks clean and neat and is attractive. Very pretty color of green. Our cat, Honey, did not need to have her old litter box next to this new one. She took to the new one immediately. All is happy. thanks again, Irma Westlake

I was very skeptical at first, so I watched the Breeze system for several years and read reviews before buying it. First of all, a lot of people say the Breeze system is more expensive. It is absolutely not. For odor reasons, I was buying premium cat litter, which cost more than the Breeze refills. Don't forget the refills last for a month. One bucket of premium cat litter lasted me less than a month. Second, even with premium cat litter and daily scooping, my laundry room always smelled like cat pee. There is no odor at all with the Breeze system. It's awesome!!!! I still scoop and flush the poop daily, but the urine odor has been eliminated. Third, I no longer have little pieces of cat litter scattered throughout my house. A few pellets escape the box, but those are much easier to handle than the cat littler stuck on the bottom of my foot. The only suggestion I would make is to come up with a box that has a hood. My dogs like to eat the poop if I don't get to it right away, so a box with a hood would help with that issue. I have recommended the Breeze system to several of my friends who have cats. … more

  • Six cats and a good nose

    By on

Well, I got tired of using the clumping litter because the smell of urine. A friend recommended the Breeze system. First off my cats did not like it and refused to use it. I even transitioned them, slowly. Next, the pellets get everywhere! My cats often miss the box and pee outside of of, luckily I have potty dog pads underneath. The pee pads used are expensive and my cats are indoor cats and they pee, a lot. But on the bright side, it no longer smells. One if my cats will not use it, so I will be going back to the regular litter system, it is less expensive too. If you have 1 or 2 cats, it would probably be good. That would have to be on the small side though.
