    Dream come true

I can't seem to run out of good things to say about this product. It was super easy to assemble. I like the look and size of the box. I haven't gotten far enough to fully clean it, but it looks like it would be easy to deep clean as well, as it all comes apart. Great, except the smell of poop

By Kristen on Dec 3, 2017

For anyone buying a starter system, I'd recommend to go ahead and purchase an additional refill bag for your first month of use. It seems like the strategy will be to empty and completely refill with new pellets 1x monthly, but to also have an additional bag of refills for as needed add-ins throughout For anyone buying a starter system, I'd recommend to go ahead and purchase an additional refill bag for your first month of use. It seems like the strategy will be to empty and completely refill with new pellets 1x monthly, but to also have an additional bag of refills for as needed add-ins throughout the month. The pellets do start to become a little sparse after a week or two; honestly they *seem* a little sparse from the get-go. But, that may just be me not knowing. I'm trusting the designers on this one. Much easier cleanup and (in my opinion) reduced smell from a litter box with clumping litter. My husband does not agree, though. He is really bothered (as am I) by the smell when our kitten poops, because that odor is not well-controlled by this box. Usually she will cover it, and in that case it's not *that* bad. However, at least once a day she will poop and not cover it, which I assume is because of the sparse amount of pellets in the box. Those times are terrible. It smells so bad. I'm trying to just be sure there's some extra pellets at all times to prevent this. Not eager to switch back just yet. … more

Changed over to this system...love it! My daughter loves the ease. Cats had no trouble switching over.

  • Cleaner and healthier

    By on

Cleaner and healthier for my cat and my home. It's worth it just for the lack of clean or dirty clay dust being kicked about and getting air born. Not having to throw out heavy clay litter all the time is a plus too.

  • Great idea in Theory

    By on

I have a senior cat with kidney problems. Her urine is weak and plentiful. She ends up with litter sticking to her back paws because of the volume. This seemed like a great idea. The tray has indentations on either side of the handle and somehow it fills up with urine. Also the pads that are supposed to last up to a week actually last 1-2 days. I turn the tray around since she seems to like to go in one corner of the box and that way both ends of the pad get used. A new pad every day or every other day means they get expensive fast. A larger tray might help keep the urine out of the indentation at the handle and the pads need to be more absorbent and less expensive.

  • Less urine smell

    By on

Less urine smell, my cat has beginning of renal failure he’s 18 yrs. That means more kitty urine and stronger smell. It says pads last a week but with him a little less. But I can’t smell the strong smell. By 3 days the other products I have to clean the box and the smell is horrific! He fills the pad up and not much stink!

  • Waste of Money

Despite every attempt to make Barney happy with this new-fangled littler box - no amount of his enticing poop lured him. The pellets were just too big and too unstable for his footing. No go!

  • almost.......but unfortunate.

I was so excited for this system and to not have litter scattered throughout the house anymore. Even though my cat is 14, he adjusted easily to the new litter box. Conceptually it's a great idea but a couple days in I realized there is no urine odor control. I scoop the poop daily but the pellets stink of urine (super offensive) and the pads have to be changed every 2 days. I never had an odor problem with Scoop away so I will be switching back.

  • Love this box.

    By on

This litter box has been wonderful. It took a little while for the kitties to get used to it, but once they did it has been great. It is so easy to keep clean. My only problem with this system is the size of the box. I have some large girls (long bodied, not fat) and they have to scrunch up a bit to fit in it. A larger box option would be helpful.
