Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
Set up your new BREEZE Litter System next to your current litter box. If you don't currently use a litter box with high sides or a top, remove the BREEZE sidewall for now.
Move some clumps and solid waste from your current box to the clean BREEZE system. This will help your cats recognize their new bathroom. Once they start using the BREEZE box, you can remove the clumps and solid waste.
Stop cleaning the old litter box. Cats like clean, so make the new BREEZE box the most appealing option by not scooping the old box. Sounds gross, but this step is key to a successful transition.
Toss out that old box completely once your cats have started using the BREEZE system for all of their potty needs. Animal behaviorists recommend multiple cat households have multiple litter boxes: one system per cat, plus one additional system (2 cats = 3 litter systems).

I'm so glad I decided to try the Breeze litter box/pellets system when I adopted our 2 most recent cats. There is ZERO cat pee smell in my house for the first time as a cat owner of 35+ years. Since they were rescues, I had one litter box with regular clumping litter and one Breeze litter box, so they could choose which one to use at first. Then I slowly added the pellets to the regular clumping litter and eventually had 2 of the Breeze litter boxes with the pellets. My cats had no problem getting used to it. Definitely buy the largest Breeze litter box right away because as your cat grows they will need that size. I actually think they should make an even larger XL size litter box.
I use the Tidy Cat Breeze system because my 20 year old Abyssinian has typical urinary issues common to older cats. She has huge amounts of urinary output that were a mess to clean out of the typical scoopable litter. This litter does not absorb the urine, therefore it can be used for an extended time, saving money and work. Pads go with this system to soak up the urine and just be disposed. It's not perfect, but any litter that hits the floor is easy to pick up and throw back in the litter box. Never ever throw them in the toilet; always toss them in a plastic garbage bag along with the wet pads. The litter lasts a long time, but only use it with the Tidy Cat system that allows the urine to drain into a seperate section of the pan. This is specifically for cats with large urinary outputs.
I love the breeze system to begin with. I have never tried any other pellets than these, but they do a great job of dehydrating the stool to make for odor neutralization and easier scooping. They do still track like any litter does (I think my cats kick them out on purpose sometimes just to bat them around the room), but they are so much easier to clean up than regular litter. Will never go back to another litter box system. My cats do not mind the pellet form either, but they never have had clay litter (only pellets of different materials).
I love this product--very convenient. The only problem is that my cat must have been a long shot football kicker in it's former life, because when he goes to cover up his 'deposit' of urine or poop, he kicks some of the pellets out of the litter box. ;-) No problem, because the pellets aren't soiled.
Most of the negative reviews about this product are from people not using it properly. You must have the complete system. Many have complained about the cost. Used properly it does not cost anymore than changing a good quality clay litter every week. Worth the change to not have to sweep up litter all the time. No tracking, no dust, and no smell. You can save a few bucks by using the Frisco litter pads. I have found them to be fairly equal to the breeze pads.
I was gifted these Tidy Cats Breeze Cat Litter Enhanced Pellets Refill in exchange for my honest review. Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan. I will admit originally I thought the idea of pellets for the litterbox as opposed to typical cat litter seemed interesting, but I don't think it quite panned out for my kitty and I like we had hoped. I love that it claims to be basically dust free, because it truly is. I hear much less sneezing from my kitty when he's in his box. I wish the fragrance of the scented pellets was a bit stronger, it was pretty weak. I also wish the pellets soaked the urine up more effectively and a bit faster. It seems to pass through the pellets and sit on the bottom of the box and my cat tends to do his business where he urinates, covers it, gets out the litter box, does a quick lap around the house, and within about 3 minutes, he's back to poop. I notice it confuses him that the urine is still there when he comes back. I just don't think this is the right litter product for us, unfortunately, but very thankful to try!
This litter does not track all over your floor. My old litter tracked over the whole house. Drove me nuts. No pee smell at all, some poop smell, but I scoop it out quickly and the smell disappears.
I have 3 cats so a good bathroom is key. The Tidy Cats Breeze is the best option I had found. The pellets are not small so they are easy to clean. However, some of my cats throw pellets everywhere when they are "covering" their businesses. So depending on the personality of your cat/s, you will or will not find pellets outside their bathroom. However, since the pellets are larger than the sandy options, they are easy to clean (I use my vacuum cleaner since they are clean, just outside the bathroom). They absorb smells too but in my opinion, the key element is the pad under the bathroom, which absorbs the pee and its smells. I use 2 bathrooms for 3 cats. But I never saw two cats going to the bathroom at the same time. So I have the feeling that one could have been enough too.
This is the second time I am giving this litter a try. For some reason my kitten likes to eat this. Not sure why. Unfortunately I cannot use it.
This litter does exactly what it says. It masks the smell and my cats love using it. It is quite expensive though, and even more so when you add the pads with it so I'm not sure I will be able to purchase as often as my cats would like. I would recommend this to friends and family if they didn't mind paying the price. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own.
